    I hope it doesn't get spammed to death. At least the college networks are still exclusive so there is hope.

    • infowar, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Yes the current version of fbquick is windows only. Our next version to be out later this month is going to be for all browsers but will integrate more than just facebook notifications. It will include digg notifications, sharing links, videos, and pictures as well. It will be a complete notification system. Stay tuned, and join our group on facebook to be part of cool contest and cash give aways.

    • HerrEisenheim, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3There are a few more privacy options which give the illusion of exclusivity. Basically, you have to have a *.*edu email address to be part of a college group.

      Really, it's no different save for the things you mentioned...it's just that people on Facebook tend to have their privacy settings set to "private w/ exception of college network" by default.

      The fact people use their real names instead of "lonelywhore15" or "ladiesman5"?

      A developer platform that allows for easy third party app creation?

      Its appeal, roots & image draws in an older, more mature crowd?

      A company that actually gives back a lot to the open source community?

      And of course, I like the fact they use PHP, being the bias PHP developer I am.
