- lordaphex, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1I undugg this because I found that when using it, if you find a .com that's available and don't register it right away, it's taken by another company. Damn thieves stole a good domain of mine.

Maybe it's not Firefox compatible? Haven't tried IE. - Phyrefly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0suckis... that's a pretty good description hehe :)
- secretivecoward, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wonder how long before the whois servers start blocking it...

- kderby2000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The whois doesn't even work...
- polo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yes, but doesn't seem to work for .com or .net. random-characters.com doesn't work

- ajh1138, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0HEY EVERYBODY! HEY! I DON'T KNOW IF ANYBODY HAS MENTIONED THIS, BUT I GET AN ERROR WHEN I TRY TO...
oh, wait...looks like you've already noticed. nevermind. - systemf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0interesting, but buggy- "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." when doing the whois check
- mojaam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeh, almost going to digg it until it tries to teach me about object-oriented programming lol:
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object." - haxr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0whois doesn't work for me
- brummm, on 03/08/2008, -0/+0The below link is my AJAX Whois with Google Suggest tool . Contact me via the contact form on the website and i will email you the script for free. I normal charge $22. I'll send it to all you diggers out there for free.
http://digg.com/programming/Look_up_Domain_names_e ... - e33basketball, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0good idea, doesn't work...
- DoMaGe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The author, who is currently sitting at home on a Friday night making all kinds of changes and upgrades, will find out sometime tomorrow that he got digdotted and jump out of his basement apartment window.
- TailGater, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0WTF - 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.'
- astyler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0worked on all tests for me, you get that error on whois is the site is available, check availability first, then, if taken, check whois.
- Iam8up, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice page...but I have a hard time believing this:
dfklmsdfvgvvvvvvvvfdsnsflsdfklfsdlknsfdklnsdfklnlksdflk.com is not available.whoisbackorder - cmer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thanks for all your comments! My mailbox is suffering the Digg effect! Many people have reported the "object reference not set to an instance of an object" bug. It has been fixed, along with a few others. Please report other bugs. Your help is appreciated!
- Yesterdayz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0whats the deal with www.microsoft.com ?????
To Funny - lucamartinetti, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Cool idea, but IMO not so useful.. I already know that the domain I'm looking for is taken, isn't it? Try domainsbot.com, an ajax web site that gives you suggestions about other names that are available!
- ajamison, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Works for me. Cool stuff, simple to use. +digg
- cmer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah! Some WHOIS (including MS and Apple I believe) have been hacked at the WHOIS server we use for .COM and .NET :) Pretty funny.
I just wanted to follow up regarding people saying that it's useless to implement whois with ajax. I totally agree! I coded this little thing just for the heck of it. I just wanted to experiment a little with Ajax, so it is to be taken with a grain of salt! :) - bds42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Heh...so whois is working now. You MUST go back and do a whois for microsoft.com....
- samKreuzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice website.
I have seen the whois for ms.com too. :) - MatthewDoucette, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I need an all-tld whois for my http://xona.com/domainhacks/ search utility. (Anyone know how to contact Carl Mercier?) Any other whois suggestions?
- MattPerry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Interesting idea but it fails to update the URL when the form is submitted. That means that results are not bookmarkable (a big problem with all these AJAX-based web sites).
- shalstvedt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Very Cool" design seems to be ripped...
http://www.tijsvrolix.be/ - RandomInsano, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I find it just an attempt to jump on the AJAX bad wagon. A whois directory is just so... simple. The "Hello World" of AJAX.
It seems like a waste, but hey, who am I to judge. - snlildude87, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0extremely buggy.
how do you undigg?
- http://nerdnirvana.org/ - znxster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0"HTTP 405 - Resource not allowed
Internet Information Services"
IIS.. figures.. it looks nice.. but well.. its DUD -
