- kevptim, on 04/14/2008, -0/+6Done. Screw Bell Canada.
- ikemay, on 04/14/2008, -0/+6I hate bell too. dugg
- busta, on 04/14/2008, -0/+5Bell Canada is an evil company.
- admiral101, on 04/16/2008, -0/+5The real issue is they are not just throttling their own bandwidth but also the bandwidth other providers rent from their monopolized and government subsidized lines. Anticompetitive rules forced Bell to share the copper lines but now Bell has downgraded the service of all the other ISPs to Bells crappy level. I don't expect this throttling to survive for long.
- djbon2112, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2I hope you're right. I was about to go to TekkSavvy when I went home for the summer, but until this is resolved, what's the point? (On Bell Sympatico right now *shudder*).
- carlosgames, on 04/17/2008, -0/+1At Mexico we are charged near to 90dlls (1000 pesos) for only 2MBps :(
- gemlarin, on 04/17/2008, -0/+3Im in the US, but I submitted my support of CAIP on the CRTC website. Anything I can do to help our brothers and sisters to the north. You guys rock :)
- motionblur, on 04/17/2008, -0/+4Bell Canada sucks. Teksavvy rules!
- DSM93, on 04/17/2008, -0/+2dugg and filled out that form...even though i don't use torrents this throttling really pisses me off. I hate bell, rogers, cogeco and all other companies that ruin services that we pay for. If someone is hogging up too much bandwidth why not refuse to put them on a high speed plan or give them a GB limit.
- Trichomonas, on 04/17/2008, -0/+1Done. Please help us out even if you're not Canada. :)
- sebicas, on 04/17/2008, -0/+1Great Post! Thanks a lot! I just submited my support! I hope we can make a diference and help future limitation & restrictions
- smacksaw, on 04/17/2008, -0/+2I emailed them as well. It's amazing to me that other nations don't have this problem.
I think that perhaps Bell needs another break-up...Canadian-style. If they can't be a retail ISP and backbone provider at the same time, perhaps they should not be the same company.
That's what we need to push.- djbon2112, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1It's only North America, the birthplace of the internet, that has this problem. Why? We're the only one ruled by greedy, monopolistic ISPs who's only interest is squeezing every dollar out of their customers while ignoring the infrastructure.
- pond70, on 04/17/2008, -0/+1dugg it ...bell called ..ask me if i was happy with my service ( only cuz my contract is coming to an end ) I say ya - cut my bill for everything it .... she ask if she could call back at another time ...LOL dicks
