"ok, tying noose" - takamalak, on 01/08/2009, -4/+112I must say it's less pathetic than a WoW proposal. But not by much...
- fxu1989, on 01/09/2009, -4/+81Can Digg add a Twitter section so I can block it out?
- AFLunatic, on 01/08/2009, -0/+61You guys are nerds.
- misternils, on 01/09/2009, -2/+59How very unromantic.
- 007isbond1, on 01/09/2009, -1/+42Digg also needs a 'screenshot of digg comments' section
- NoOneButMe, on 01/08/2009, -1/+41http://twitter.com/film_girl/status/1104764662
- DirtyVicar, on 01/09/2009, -1/+31Do I need those cheesy hipster glasses to do things like that on Twitter?
- PullingTeeth, on 01/09/2009, -1/+27This is something that should only be done IRL.
- bketelsen, on 01/08/2009, -4/+28But did she say yes??
- Typhoon2009, on 01/09/2009, -3/+26this is not news
- toxicblue, on 01/08/2009, -2/+21Yes.
- smackert, on 01/09/2009, -1/+20The bad new- he got hacked. :(
- roxgod666, on 01/09/2009, -0/+18Would have been more romantic if he attached a link to the ring.
- JasonBrett, on 01/08/2009, -20/+35Congrats @grobertson and @film_girl!
- rodrigna05, on 01/09/2009, -0/+15nerd alert
- inactive, on 01/09/2009, -0/+14please
- DMDekoth, on 01/09/2009, -1/+15It's hard to say no on the internet?
- fattony80, on 01/09/2009, -1/+14Probably the easiest way with the least amount of effort to propose. I think it is kind of lame. Eye contact and a good embrace should go hand in hand with a proposal.
- thizzlebot, on 01/09/2009, -3/+14That might possibly be the lamest thing i ever heard of.
- 88marissa, on 01/09/2009, -3/+14i think thats so lame!!
and wack!! id kill my boyfriend if he did that to me! - SirZRX, on 01/09/2009, -2/+12That dude needs some balls
- Paulorific, on 01/09/2009, -2/+12This is quite the opposite of cool.
- Sererena, on 01/09/2009, -0/+9This is essentially like proposing via text-message... Sure, it's 'unique' but it's also extremely unromantic. If someone proposed to me this way.... I'd say no. I'd tell them if they want me to marry them they'd have to try proposing a little better than that! Honestly, is this really the memory you want her to have for the rest of your marriage? I sure hope this is just a decoy proposal so she'll be even more surprised when you give her the REAL super-romantic proposal! Getting a tweet is not a magical moment...
- borez, on 01/08/2009, -20/+29Oh how romantic.. you can get married in a chuch of the rising twit in a lovely white twitty dress and go on a twittermoon to Twiterville. Then you can live in a little twitter house with a twitter garden and a white twittet fence. You can twitter your sex life too and then your twin twitter kids can be born in a twitter hospital and can twitter you from their twitter schools as you live out your twitter life with your twitty jobs. You can grow old together in a twitarium till one of you dies of a Coronary Myocardial Twityfarction , but don't worry you'll too busy ***** twittering to notice. Your twin twitty kids will look after you for the rest of your twittery days in Twitterland home for the twittered out. Till one day you die and the twin twitty toddlers can twitter their goodbyes at the twitatorium on twit road, twit street, twitterland.
You ***** pathetic twit. Grow some, get down on one knee and propose properly. You Twittery *****. - MikeTRose, on 01/08/2009, -4/+13This ain't the first -- http://blog.wired.com/underwire/2008/03/true-story ... -- but it's the coolest! :)
- borez, on 01/09/2009, -0/+9And
- shadowsurfr1, on 01/09/2009, -2/+11I'm not sure why you're getting dug down. Perhaps diggers are feeling jealous.
- mattmcegg, on 01/09/2009, -1/+10yea good call on not waiting "one minute longer." shes pretty cute.
- ghostrevival, on 01/09/2009, -0/+9No.
- Sonan, on 01/09/2009, -3/+11Hey, my wife (gf at the time) got married on a MUD. Now that's old school.
- inactive, on 01/09/2009, -0/+8I haven't laughed so hard all week. Thank you, kind sir.
- socokoolaid, on 01/09/2009, -4/+12What a douche bag.
- jaywag, on 01/09/2009, -0/+8It's probably so if she said no, he could just say he left himself logged in and somebody else did it as a joke.
- AZRoboto, on 01/09/2009, -0/+7I agree. I mean, he could have done it when they were at a fancy dinner together. She looks down at her phone, looks up and then he's got a ring ready.
But nope, they were three thousand miles away and on the internet. Makes it kind of hard for her to say no... - Paulorific, on 01/09/2009, -0/+7Troll?
- inactive, on 01/09/2009, -3/+10Twits are not even bloggers.
- pibs, on 01/09/2009, -2/+9I wonder how many women he forward that proposal to finally get a "yes".
- mt3ch, on 01/09/2009, -0/+7Like OMG!
- crushfan, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6Yeah, if you've never seen a woman before...besides your relatives.
- Muffinhunter, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6...i can't tell if you're trolling or not.
- crushfan, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6Also a "bacon" section. Blocking bacon-spammers doesn't really help since it doesn't filter out their submissions.
- moothemagiccow, on 01/09/2009, -1/+7if i proposed on twitter my GF would never see it
- fruscianteisgod, on 01/09/2009, -2/+8wow he should grow a pair and do it face to face like a man
- timdorr, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6Not only that. She's at MacWorld, he's (presumably) here in Atlanta. Long distance, social media proposal. That's ballsy, but fits the two of them perfectly.
- Deveak, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6I should digg you down for being ignorant on how twitter works, but than again, twitter is pretty gay.
- ObamaYouth, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6that gave me some idea.
April, would you marry me? - Foliot, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6I dugg you up borez. That looks like it took some effort.
- grabadores, on 01/09/2009, -1/+6Twitter ***** sucks.
