Twitter-Like Service Gets $10 Million in Funding

gigaom.com — SMSGupShup, an SMS-based group messaging/microblogging service from Webaroo, is close to announcing that it has raised $10 million in new capital.

  • granolajoe, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1Enough of the clones...please! The creators of all of these Twitter competitors don't understand that the internet isn't like a farmer's market. Simply because you have better fruit than the farmer who first started selling and already has loyal customers, doesn't mean people are going to flock to your stand and stop buying from the guy who already paved the way.

    People are simply going to sign up for everything, to make sure they are present on each network. You'll find people on Twitter, Pownce, Plurk. No one is dropping Twitter any time soon.
