- realmadrid2727, on 02/18/2009, -1/+196At least their rejection letters aren't 140-characters or less.
- SitPoMk, on 02/18/2009, -3/+131The description doesn't make much sense. For a company that isn't making money they are being awfully picky about who they hire? ***** I would be too, as well as any other business owner with half a brain. I wouldn't want to go spending even more money for nothing.
- Sublex, on 02/18/2009, -3/+1142 minutes ago: Son of a bitches published my e-mail...
2 hours ago: *****. Didn't get the job. Surprise surprise.
18 hours ago: I give up. I'm going to apply at reddit.
19 1/2 hours ago: Oh crap. Oh crap crap crap. I found two typos. *****. Think they'll accept a second one?
20 hours ago: Just sent my application for a product manager here at Twitter. So excited! - imacommi, on 02/18/2009, -4/+57"For a company that's not making money, Twitter is being awfully picky about who it hires to come up with ideas for generating cash. The company accidentally published the email addresses of 186 rejects."
This is precisely the reason they need to hire the right talent. don't have such a narrow view, just because you aren't cash flow positive does not mean that you should hire the first 186 people that walk in the door. - inactive, on 02/18/2009, -6/+36I still dont get twitter. Tell me again why its supposed to be useful?
- KibibyteBrain, on 02/18/2009, -0/+26The real reason they didn't get the job: Twitter looked them up and found out they spent way too much time on Twitter in their last job.

Agree - slither83, on 02/18/2009, -2/+23Krissy should come and work over here. We could use some huge tweeters like that around here.
- flibbert1, on 02/18/2009, -1/+21Krissy is stacked.
- jakash, on 02/18/2009, -0/+17Funny, Krissy hasn't found time to tweet about this...
- sirbeta, on 02/18/2009, -1/+17I don't understand the problem with them being "picky" about filling the position, but the part where they basically CC the letter to every rejected person was a pretty big dumb ***** thing to do.
- Bilabrin, on 02/18/2009, -0/+15It's an outlet for narcissism. Which basically defines all of web 2.0.
- cawpin, on 02/18/2009, -1/+16Well, at least we know why you didn't get the job.
Sons of bitches. - patricks, on 02/18/2009, -1/+14"We will keep your information on file for six months in case future opportunities arise."
It seems there will be an opening in HR in the next day or so. - PrismoFillusion, on 02/18/2009, -9/+21How dare Twitter not hire every applicant for a job opening! In this economy they should be giving out jobs to anyone who's unemployed! For shame!
- NaturalCauzes, on 02/18/2009, -4/+15***** you twitter. You're a ***** useless service. They didn't reject me, I just hate ***** twitter. kthxbai.
- charlietuna, on 02/18/2009, -0/+11My thoughts exactly. It's the companies that are awash in cash that hire Reiki therapists to sooth tired programmers between foosball matches in the rec room.
- Typhoon2009, on 02/18/2009, -2/+12***** sake can someone explain Twitter to me? Is it basically a site that replicates Facebook's status function?
- inactive, on 02/18/2009, -0/+10Shame now it's gonna be more like "Krissy is sacked"
- PaulOwen, on 02/18/2009, -1/+10As a general rule in the EU, you should always ask a prospective employer to REMOVE your personal details from their systems if you are unsuccessful (I know - in this case this WAS the rejection letter, but hear me out). Requesting removal of your data has a number of benefits:
1. It prevents any further misuse of your personal data such as in this case
2. It removes any record of you having applied (or having been rejected!)
3. It forces the company to take responsibility for receiving personal details from propective candidates - something which in Europe it is required to do by law
Companies in Europe MUST comply with a request to remove personal details by the data subject. - SteveIsTheDude, on 02/18/2009, -0/+9Yeah, but she does have some tig bitties.... If I were Twitter I would be looking for more funding.... so I can keep those tig bitties at the office, rejecting applicants all.... day.... long.......
- lex0nyc, on 02/18/2009, -0/+8No wonder she confused BCC with CC. She's a lush!
- MrInfallible, on 02/18/2009, -2/+9Typical ***** patronising rejection letter.
- WheezyMustafa, on 02/19/2009, -0/+7I'd flickr the hell out of her twitter... Whatever that means.
- lex0nyc, on 02/18/2009, -0/+6I think the point is that it's insulting and demoralizing.
- InThePants, on 02/18/2009, -0/+6dems some nice boobies
- punkcat, on 02/18/2009, -0/+6on top of that, for all we know they could have 10,000 applications. rejecting 187 would then be a drop in the bucket.
- crushfan, on 02/18/2009, -2/+8If you don't have friends that are really really active on the internet OR aren't an e-friend whore, it's pretty much pointless. I tried to use it with some close friends, it didn't add anything to our communicating habits or come in handy in any occasion.. But, some people just love it. I don't know. You should give it a try, I guess.
- fabkebab, on 02/18/2009, -0/+5I agree-
What were they going to do? Hire 187 business product managers as opposed the the 1 they are looking for?
I assumed the article was going to show the sort of applicants that were being turned down at a minimum - KrayzieKyd, on 02/18/2009, -1/+6A photo I found on Krissy's flickr, but I don't think it's her.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/kreesy25/190407380/ - Bilabrin, on 02/18/2009, -0/+5I'd "sack" her!
- GLeNs, on 02/19/2009, -0/+5She got massive *****

sorry had to point out, well they do the pointing hur hur durrrrrrrrrrp - BCPneumatics, on 02/19/2009, -0/+5They are still working on this one:
1. Code Twitter
2. Public Release
3. ???
4. Profit - ramkam, on 02/18/2009, -0/+5http://twitter.com/krissy
- crushfan, on 02/18/2009, -0/+5Holy *****, I know a girl who looks exactly like her, minus the "epic boobs" though..
- inactive, on 02/19/2009, -0/+5It's an investment blackhole for VCs
- joelcass, on 02/18/2009, -1/+5I think there might be one more opening soon, this time in HR!
- tarynevelyn, on 02/18/2009, -0/+4Sometimes people apply for jobs while they still hold jobs at other companies.
To have their email address published in connection with a rejected job application could risk their current job.
It's just not cool to do. - jmnormand, on 02/18/2009, -2/+61. expose private information of people who dont like you very much
2. lawsuits
3. ???
4. profit - inactive, on 02/18/2009, -3/+6I'm failing to understand why this is an issue beyond "whoops, ***** happens."
It's just an email address. So someone knows which ones got turned down for a job - is their life ruined now or something? Oh noes, someone knows your email address!!
It's not like posting their SSN or personal address/phone number. There's no confidential info given. So really... non issue here. - inactive, on 02/18/2009, -0/+3What were you saying?
- inactive, on 02/18/2009, -1/+4My spam has her listed as "Kathryn". All that new funding, its allowing them to buy email lists and spam the ***** out of people.
Twitter sucks and they theyre stooping to Classmates/Match level, trying to trick me into signing up. - gilesvg, on 02/18/2009, -0/+3Mega fail whale!!!
- inactive, on 02/19/2009, -0/+3I can just imagine all the people suffering from unwarranted self-importance thinking they would work for Twitter. Im surprised its just 186. As one commenter noted, Twitter is just an outlet for narcissistic douches.
- PrismoFillusion, on 02/18/2009, -0/+3I understand what the point should be, but look at the subtitle - "For a company that's not making money, Twitter is being awfully picky about who it hires to come up with ideas for generating cash." My comment was moreso in response to that.
(and to those who missed it, it was sarcasm) - KrayzieKyd, on 02/18/2009, -0/+3A photo I found on Krissy's flickr, but I don't think it's her.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/kreesy25/190407380/ - painperdu, on 02/18/2009, -1/+4The rejects should be thankful. A t least they won't be upset and have to search for another job when twitter goes belly up!
- wobblejuice, on 02/18/2009, -0/+3Twitter spamming?
- SteveIsTheDude, on 02/18/2009, -0/+3They should form a band... The Thankful Rejects....
Seriously, I wonder if they will start emailing each other????? - inactive, on 02/18/2009, -2/+5Those ***** look real though
