- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -4/+106Bulgarian music industry? Bulgaria has a music industry?
- inactive, on 11/13/2008, -1/+74Ah, very nice. Bulgaria shuts down the activity that they can't possibly profit from, but the army of Bulgarian credit card thieves continues to thrive, utterly ignored by their government and law enforcement agencies. Go Bulgaria!
- mohsenxp, on 11/13/2008, -3/+36Ok I'm sure I'm speaking for many people when I say:
What the ***** is torrent valley!? I'm a pretty serious downloader and I've never heard of that website.
So alls I gotta say is, who the ***** cares!
Take that bitches!! - Psamtik, on 11/13/2008, -3/+33We need to hijack a cruise ship and put a satellite dish on it.
- sockpuppets, on 11/13/2008, -0/+28You've never heard of a Bulgarian goat flute? It's said to be so enchanting sheep form a straight line when played.
- speel, on 11/13/2008, -1/+20Some one please clarify why they were raided. I simply don't understand, these guys were not hosting any illegal files so why the raid? Is it illegal to index torrents?
- int10h, on 11/13/2008, -1/+20Wrong country
- Finalreminder, on 11/13/2008, -0/+18Ditto - never heard of them.
- DigTheDoug, on 11/13/2008, -1/+16***** THE RIAB!
- sfury, on 11/13/2008, -0/+13I don't think there is such, and I live there so...
What struck me more was that TorrentValley was hosted here, I didn't even know that. - Finalreminder, on 11/13/2008, -2/+14Bulgaria would sell it's own Grandmother as a sexslave for a few £$£.
The record industry probably gave them three fifty to close it down. - zeroeth, on 11/13/2008, -1/+12You haven't heard "Ken Lee"? It's sweeping the world!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RgL2MKfWTo - mamboboy, on 11/13/2008, -1/+12In past experiences, when a group gets shut down, it only worsens the matter. They usually just take legal action against the head admin - he'll end up doing more time than a murderer and then be left paying off fines for the rest of his life...but then most other people maintaining the site will just disperse and start up fresh. it's all a 'vicious' circle.
Look how much they ***** David Rocci...the previous owner of ISO news..and all he did was sell PS2 modchips!
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2003/02/26/doj_seizes ... - AngelBunny, on 11/13/2008, -1/+11nope but these is this weird thing called 'conspiracy to defraud' which sounds like bs to me.
- mamboboy, on 11/13/2008, -0/+10But we're living in a time we're criminals infringing copyright get a harsher punishment than, let's say...a murderer.
My friends father got killed by a drunk driver last year. Not only that but he fled the scene of an accident and was driving uninsured. Somehow they came to the conclusion he was driving 'under the speed limit'. He got sentenced to six months in prison - and was out within three.
The man that got killed had his lung punctured my a broken rib, and then when he was slowly dying, his soon-to-be murderer fled off, leaving him to eventually burn to death.
Now, tell me, how can someone selling mod-chips be deemed a worse human being than that?
It's sad to say that money is now considered more important than a human life - ProfessorLX, on 11/13/2008, -1/+11your comments is exactly what came to my mind when i read the title on the front page...
not "damn not torrentvalley"
or "man the torrent sites are taking a beating"
or even "man that sucks"
it was "Bulgaria has a music industry?" - itsradBrad, on 11/13/2008, -2/+11Cause you are some kind of torrent Jedi or something?
- technicolourbob, on 11/13/2008, -0/+8Bulgarian Association of Musical Producers (BAMP)

- sfury, on 11/14/2008, -0/+6Yay! I'm proud to be...
Oh wait, you were being sarcastic. - Rikkochet, on 11/13/2008, -1/+7Well, you know, you have to make an example of these criminals to discourage people from committing these crimes.
That's why the violent crime rate is so low in the US - throw the book at a few criminals and all of a sudden there's nobody in prison because people are afraid of the consequences!
[if you really needed the /s you're beyond help] - ProfessorLX, on 11/13/2008, -0/+5BAMF BAMPs
- ACiDGRiM, on 11/13/2008, -1/+6I still don't know why Gov'ts let private organizations provide their investigation teams with evidence.
- computershack, on 11/13/2008, -0/+5Will you be saying that when someone breaks into your home and you're wanting their help?
- centerblack, on 11/13/2008, -2/+7Yea that's ***** up.
All we can hope is that the anti-establishment nerds of the world make it big and stop this nonsense.
***** the DMCA, USA PATRIOT Act, RIAA and MPAA. - centerblack, on 11/13/2008, -0/+4Nothing, it's just fear tactics.
- fegul, on 11/13/2008, -4/+8"Bulgarian Association of Musical Producers (BAMP)"
So close...just one letter off - AngelBunny, on 11/13/2008, -1/+5it probably wasn't an english website otherwise i would have heard of them and i haven't.
- gelatina1996, on 11/14/2008, -1/+4I still love TPB.
- rzurad, on 11/13/2008, -1/+4"why's it always gotta be tree-fiddy, woman!"
- FeloniusMonkey, on 11/13/2008, -0/+3Considering torrent trackers/servers themselves host no copyrighted material, I can't help wonder WTF they expect to find of interest.
- JoshuaGross, on 11/13/2008, -0/+3It was about that time I noticed that the RIAA was a green monster from the paleolithic era!
- shadowspawn, on 11/13/2008, -1/+4Caviar, anyone?
- JoshuaGross, on 11/13/2008, -2/+4Authorities pretend it's illegal, but it's as valid as Google's index
- inactive, on 11/14/2008, -0/+2I wish I could digg you twice.
- Tarnum, on 11/14/2008, -0/+2In fact, Bulgaria is a country where criminals infringing copyright get a harsher punishment than, let's say... the drug traffickers, the corrupted officials or a certain politician who shot his secretary.
- cliffski, on 11/18/2008, -0/+2hahahahahaha.
deal with it thieves. - oneredeye, on 11/13/2008, -0/+2No, not nice!
- NoUltimatum, on 11/14/2008, -0/+2Yes it does....7.3 million.
- AngelBunny, on 11/13/2008, -1/+3actually 99% of the time the person convicted ends up with a fine and up to 6 months in prison but usually less and just probation. it depends on the country though.
- surfing, on 11/14/2008, -1/+2Citizen Dick is huge in Bulgaria right now.
- monebarton, on 11/14/2008, -0/+1That is the reality in Bulgaria number 1 country in the EU corruption list.
- edgar589, on 11/14/2008, -0/+1cool torent. thanks!
- tao52nyc, on 11/14/2008, -1/+2Bulgaria has a Cyber Crime Unit??
- monebarton, on 11/14/2008, -0/+1Unfortunately this is the way authorities act in Bulgaria. They have no legal methods to take down such activities and they do it in cowboy way....
- Tarnum, on 11/14/2008, -2/+3Some hands were greased in the Bulgarian Parliament and they changed the law to criminalize the linking to IP infringing content (torrents, magnet URIs, etc.)
