- maexus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+59The Digg title is top 30 blogs. The site title says top 45 websites. The article says top 50 websites and actually lists 49 websites. Awesome.
- razishaban, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14This list is made of websites that he searched for on digg, he didnt actually look at all the websites on digg. This means that only the websites that he thinks of are on the list. I thought the list was cool at first, turned out to be a fluke.
- troymccluresf, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Apple's a blog? Man, they do EVERYTHING now!
- HMTKSteve, on 11/10/2007, -1/+10The title on this makes no sense. The article is titled top 45 websites yet the list has 49 items in it. Why does the digg title say 30???
- HMTKSteve, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Wait a minute! He keeps changing the list!!!
- BackOrder, on 11/10/2007, -1/+10The article is actually entitled "Top 45 websites ranked by Digg saturation".
- PATSCRU, on 10/10/2007, -4/+13Michelle Malkin #31? I think we need to have a talk people.
- PatrickA, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9If you think this is somehow inaccurate perhaps you should post some sites you think should make the list so it can be updated.
- mrASSMAN, on 11/10/2007, -0/+5Uh what? The people who use digg submit and decide what makes the front page. Kevin Rose has nothing to do with what sites are popular on digg.
- crackedplastic, on 11/10/2007, -0/+5Of those "top 30 blogs," I wonder what percent of articles are original content versus paraphrase/click-through spam.
- brianjlowry, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5What's going on with all the numbers? Is it top 30, top 45, or top 67?
Huh? - NJank, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4but, you see, he won.
Next list: blogs most effective at drawing digg users to their site with the least useful content - zensequential, on 11/10/2007, -0/+4buried for inconsistency in title/content
- racketboy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Their search techniques say that my site, racketboy.com has 1,800 links, which beats out a few of the bottom sites. This isn't very accurate.
Especially since my site has only been on digg like 15 times.
Also, the infamous Destructoid has 27,200 according to Google and it also isn't on the list - topherbook, on 11/10/2007, -2/+5Do you have any statistics to back up your theory?
My mom turns 48 today and recently moved from conservative Republican to moderate Democrat. And my dad has been a solid moderate Democrat as long as he can remember. Age has nothing to do with political affiliation -- it's culture and political climate that have all of the influence. The age/conservatism connection you mentioned is coincidence, not correlation. - Jibberwalk, on 11/10/2007, -1/+4Race Traitor? Race shouldn't have any effect on the opinions a person is allowed to have...
- delhokie, on 11/10/2007, -7/+10Crooksandliars, thinkprogress... this just shows how out of left field too many of the stories that are posted on Digg. I'm sure there are right wing stories that are submitted as well, but so many obviously slanted stories show up is when, in my opinion, the objectivity of Digg is put into question. I am a conservative- not a 'right winger'- and I don't think it's proper to see any stories that are tilted in one direction or another to be submitted. I guess we see the same kinds of opinions (linux vs windows vs mac) on other sites as well, but some of these stories just fly in the face of good journalism and reek of blogspam.
- KungFuDuck, on 11/10/2007, -0/+3Another and maybe easier way of looking at such stats: http://demo.qliktech.com/qlikview/AJAX/digg/defaul ... (see Top Hosts tab)
- antlerboy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4eh..., in your family, maybe.
- picsectionpleez, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5The "blogosphere" is like a giant jackoff club. It even sounds gay.
- bigjimslade, on 11/10/2007, -0/+2
It's predictable. Affluent kids and college students. - OBKenobi, on 11/10/2007, -0/+2When Diggers see a lame article, why do you they Digg it up and complain about it instead of just burying it?
I am now going to press the Bury button at the top of the page to bury this nonsensical, inaccurate article. - inactive, on 11/10/2007, -0/+2Thanks! Now I have some cool new bookmarks to kill more time at work!
- cliffzdude, on 11/10/2007, -4/+6A quick check of the top 20 shows:
9. crooksandliars.com
11. thinkprogress.org
18. Huffington Post
I'm not surprised nor dismayed, its Digg. The crowd on Digg is young, very young and the younger one is the far more likely they are to fall on the liberal side of the political spectrum. My Grandparents were told this, and said "*****". My parents were once told so, and they said "*****". I was told this as a young man as well, and said "*****". Turns out its true. Alas, once you're over 30 things change, and *generally* most people lean more and more conservative. - chucksmooth, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2have some dignity and edit your comment into a witty remark about how you were going to say the same thing as the person above you did.
- jetboyterp, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4You haven't read "In Defense of Internment", have you, davidwasman?
You're a textbook case of the "angry liberal". - delhokie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I never used the term liberal nor was I pointing to that. The left as well as the right has a right to their opinon and I firmly believe it should be freely given. But, is digg the correct venue for that? Your statement just proves my point- instead of making a comment to the Digg-lean, it turned into an attack where I have stated nothing about YOUR views, liberal or conservative. I will only say about your comment, if you are an American, it is OUR war, OUR president... whether you agree with it or not.
- CasaMan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The first "blog" i could think off would take 12th place (site:digg.com break.com) This guy just made a list of 30/45/49 sites he could think of and then sorted them.
- ki85squared, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2And the list is titled "Top 50 Websites" while there's only 49 websites listed... *shrug*
- gi0rgi0s, on 11/10/2007, -0/+1Good Job. I'd like to see a list in terms of blogs with most net Diggs, rather than most posted, as well.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yeah rawstory has 46,600, but he didn't include it because he didn't think of the site when making the list. This is just lame.
- catalysis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1More like "a list of blogs that use dummy accounts to get their first 30 diggs."
- GetShorty, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1What about TorrentFreak? I see it on the front page all the time.
- shoemoney, on 10/10/2007, -4/+5Good job on the list.
- fancypantscz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1thanks for the productive dialog
- davidwasman, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3You mean the kind that makes us a race traitor, bigot, fake journalist, Bush sympathizer, and complete moron?
- coit, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2details, details..... sheesh!
- Mockylock, on 11/10/2007, -3/+3*****. Not TOO many hippies.
- davidwasman, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3I'm 38 and my social awareness and caring for my fellow human beings, as well as the Earth, has never waivered. I may not be staunchly liberal, but I still vote democratic.
- o0adam0o, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Nice. New pages to add to my faves.
- ProvocateurCrow, on 11/10/2007, -1/+1Another article where Digg strokes itself
- picsectionpleez, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1When I hear the word Blogosphere I imagine some giant round mound of jackoff goo and a bunch of guys standing around claiming it is going to "permeate" the Internet. How gross. Sorry for even bringing it up. Blogosphere...... SplunK! splunk! splunk! "Look dude it's alive! It's moving! I'm part of the Internet power now! Hey, let me tell you my feelings on life..." Splunk!
- airiox, on 11/10/2007, -2/+1nvm, rawstory should be number 11, but thats ok, these rankings are dumb anyways.
- inactive, on 11/10/2007, -2/+1Got one. Bacheler's in Computer Science. JD from Wisconsin. 21 years of work experience since undergrad. How about you?
- davidwasman, on 11/10/2007, -3/+2Malkin has condoned 'concentration camps' for her own race following the terrorist attacks. She even wrote a book about it.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Once your balls drop, you will understand.
- airiox, on 11/10/2007, -4/+3wheres rawstory? oh thats right, everyone hate you.
