errr...
dugg! - JJCDAD, on 05/30/2008, -8/+45Last.fm FTW!
- Doomsan, on 05/29/2008, -4/+36Since i discovered Thesixtyone my winamp has been gathering dust.
- Bacontastic, on 05/29/2008, -4/+32The 61: the best thing I've stumbled across because of Digg.
- sambearpoet, on 05/29/2008, -6/+29The Sixty One rocks my socks!
- fuzzmeister, on 05/30/2008, -0/+23That was a very strange experience. I idly clicked this article and almost shat myself when I saw SpinJay.com at #2, the site I built as a side project last year. Cool stuff.
- senne, on 05/29/2008, -5/+27Just to set things straight: TheSixtyOne is absolutely one of the best websites to discover music and I didn't mean harm with this screenshot.
- mattgilberg, on 05/30/2008, -3/+23Why the ***** is Pandora.com and PureVolume.com not on this list???
- johanrocks, on 05/30/2008, -0/+18If anything, pandora should be higher on that list. It's a good way of me taking a random song that I liked, putting it in, and finding a bunch of new artists or even new musical styles that I've never heard of before. It's great for being introduced to new music.
- ratage, on 05/30/2008, -2/+20I used to love pandora... then this happened:
"We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative." (http://www.pandora.com/restricted).
Thank FSM that thesixyone.com doesn't have this problem. - senne, on 05/29/2008, -4/+19They've changed it, but here's a screenshot: http://i30.tinypic.com/jkyq0m.jpg
- petiejoe, on 05/29/2008, -2/+17maybe they didn't want it to look like it's only being dugg by existing t61 users so that it wouldn't get marked as spam.

what else...
i've been listening in this website for quite sometime.. was able to hear lot of great songs which are not in MSM(Main Stream Music). - petomni, on 05/29/2008, -7/+19http://www.thesixtyone.com/rac/#/rac/collection/ ftw
- alibanana, on 05/30/2008, -0/+10Actually it does. Type an artist you like into their player and it will play you a whole variety of similar songs. And any artist page has 'similar artists' too. So basically i'm afraid you're talking nonsense.
- muffinmonk, on 05/30/2008, -7/+17They forgot one.
http://pandora.com/ - zephyr42, on 05/30/2008, -1/+11Damnit I'm way too addicted to Pandora and theSixtyOne to have 14 other websites to discover new music on :-(
- aberding, on 05/29/2008, -4/+14I freakin' love 61. Everyday I'm on it. I love Pandora and I love Digg- it's a great combo.
- xXShadowstormXx, on 05/30/2008, -1/+1013,000 is not a lot.
- KingGorilla, on 05/30/2008, -0/+9I like to keep my winamp in a protective sock
- deputydogs, on 05/29/2008, -2/+11it's a travesty that hypem.com isn't even mentioned
- MikeFallopian, on 05/30/2008, -0/+9seeqpod.com is my personal favorite - search any artist, song or album and chances are you will find streaming content.
- shadowmoose, on 05/30/2008, -3/+12Am I doin it wrong or does the sixty one not have a lot of music on it?
- leonardutah, on 05/29/2008, -4/+13I want the sixty one to be as popular as possible. It is amazing.
- romistrub, on 05/30/2008, -1/+10Seriously, though. That website is the *****.
Example: I just found a sweet Cali-based band called Rejn... their sound is some crazy mix between SOAD and Incubus. I like. - xXShadowstormXx, on 05/30/2008, -1/+9That was totally uncalled for.
- Harbinger67, on 05/30/2008, -1/+8I tried Thesixtyone, but I can honestly say that I don't care for it.
It's a really cool idea, but I wish they had more specific music classifications. I'm sure if they had a "Progressive Rock" section under the main Rock section, I'd be much happier. But alas, the only type of rock that Thesixtyone users seem to submit is "***** Nu-Metal Rock", "Terrible Hardcore", and "All Sorts of Awful Punk". - mcm297, on 05/30/2008, -2/+8I know it's not technically a website for listening to music, but everyone should check out songbird.
http://getsongbird.com/
It's one of my favorite players, built using XUL. Buy a shirt and support the project! - WoollyMittens, on 05/30/2008, -0/+6That's because 90% of the diggs are ***** link-spam for 61.
- rukeypoo, on 05/30/2008, -10/+16thepiratebay.org works for me
- l2OI3, on 05/29/2008, -1/+6RAC is pretty damn sweet, but im upset that they stopped letting you download their songs off thesixtyone =/
- burgerboy06, on 05/29/2008, -1/+6nice dude, dumped, (dugg/bumped)
- Flummoxer, on 05/30/2008, -4/+9The Sixty One is pretty cool, I found it a couple weeks ago on Digg.
Songza doesn't seem to be too bad either... - mangosinslo, on 05/30/2008, -3/+8pandora??
- zeeneo, on 05/30/2008, -1/+6US Proxy :)
- bysubmitted, on 05/30/2008, -1/+6Should we try to get him to exactly +61 diggs?
- SeaweedWater, on 05/30/2008, -0/+5that would be called 'indie', young one.
- tracydanger, on 05/30/2008, -0/+5How was Pandora not on that list?
- YodaJones, on 05/30/2008, -2/+6Sorry dude, but your list is incomplete without http://www.magnatune.com
- xxbrighteyed, on 05/30/2008, -0/+4so true, it's the best out there by far
i can't even imagine how many new bands and artists i never would've heard of if it weren't for the hype machine - lamiaconfitor, on 05/30/2008, -0/+4I'm surprised Pandora didn't make their list, I figured it would get a shout out long before spinjay did.
- romistrub, on 05/30/2008, -1/+5It's all in the emotion, man.
- l2OI3, on 05/29/2008, -1/+5Hey, i've heard you(on thesixtyone)!
- gfernandes, on 05/30/2008, -2/+6The article says that t61 doesn't allow downloads. It isn't quite true. The artist can choose to allow/disallow it's music to be downloaded. Hot Bitch Arsenal (http://www.thesixtyone.com/#/kimyo/), one of my favorites discoveries at the sixty one, offers ALL of their music for download!
- smallestmills, on 05/29/2008, -2/+6You shouldn't HAVE to set things straight. One website shouldn't sway its members to comment or not on another. I realize that t61 doesn't have the message on their website this go round, but I've never seen it on any other web site with active community that may cross over. Not cool. It may have been better for t61 to explain in a different area of its site what the consequences of its own members commenting might be, as opposed to asking others to mod you down.
- sweetBeats, on 05/30/2008, -0/+4http://www.hypem.com dominates all of these.
- GlennCase, on 05/29/2008, -1/+4No way! I made a big enough fool out of myself the last time I replied to an article related to thesixtyone! I decided early on that I wasn't going to comment on this one.
Oh... wait...
