Buried as dupe. - Ajajadude, on 10/11/2007, -2/+16I dunno about everyone else, but I hadn't heard of most of those sites...
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -8/+21obviously the people who compiled this list are dumbasses
- duggtodeath, on 10/11/2007, -4/+17They said BEST Websites, BEST!
- K3ITHK, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11LOL WHAR IS AOL?
- alefox, on 10/11/2007, -7/+17but there's no digg :(
- JoeDiggsIt, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8I hate to be a pessimist, but it might have to do with the bias of Digg, and there weren't any other social bookmaring sites (reddit, etc.) StumbleUpon maybe but not rly.
- daGUY, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Did anyone else see MiiStation.com? Who the hell pays $10 to have someone else make a mii for them?? This is one of the "best websites"?!
- jheimark, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8dugg down. repeat
- Ransomowris, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7facebook?
- artofwar420, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6I disagree, the digg COMMENT SYSTEM sux.
- ericdano, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Can we just rename Digg to Dupe and get it over with? How many duplicate stories today? I lost count.....6? 7?
- eightyd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4No digg on the list? Time must not be Ron Paul/iPhone/Wii/Impeachment/Broken 360s/Ubuntu fans. If they were, digg would undoubtedly be #1.
- rm999, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4That's what's really cool about this list, I'm enjoying exploring new websites.
Here's a ranking by user rating:
http://www.time.com/time/specials/2007/article/0,28804,1633488_1639316,00.html - SamuraiPanda, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3No "Best Adult Website" section, no digg.
- salinemist, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Time magazine is dead, buried as lame.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4When will Time stop trying to be my "hip" parent..?

25 Sites We Can't Live Without #6: DIGG
http://www.time.com/time/specials/2007/article/0,28804,1638266_1638253_1638225,00.html - sathias, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3No Digg? No Digg.
- cagnew, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Digg is listed. It's listed under, "25 Sites We Can't Live Without".
- AnalogLove, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2It may not be on this list but it's on the Time.com list of 25 Sites We Can't Live Without. So really, you win some, you lose some.
- psykiv, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I've only heard of like 5 of them: last.fm, stumbleupon, ingdirect (its a bank, not a cool hip website ffs), youtube, and grandcentral (and thats only because they were on the frontpage last week because google was buying them out)
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3i'm in ur servers, duping lame stories.
- popothebright, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Who the ***** cares what Time.com thinks? They don't even have a good website themselves ... they're hardly an authority.
- Atomic1fire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2the bias is the problem with crowd control
you cant please everyone
unless you split everyone
into groups
and those groups get all ticked at each other anyway - RawOysters, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This is corporate driven crap.
- roosterIsACock, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Time got hacked one again.
http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33327 - thurows, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yea, what he said.

http://www.time.com/time/specials/2007/article/0,28804,1638266_1638253_1638225,00.html - nicksawick1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1The only website on there that I've heard of is ingdirect.com. Way to go time.
- Rekzai, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2I could think of 50 better sites that regular internet surfers would think are better.
- Lari, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I know they have a blog and have done a good job getting the word out, but my buddies and I made 4cast (www.4ca.st) almost a year ago - well before SimpleWeather.com. It does the same exact thing while looking a lot nicer...in my opinion.
- Skalenol, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Duplicate Topic, buried.
- coldfusion1970, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Then publish please.
- sockpuppets, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1http://www.time.com/time/specials/2007/article/0,28804,1638266_1638253_1638225,00.html
- JoeDiggsIt, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I know, but the split is very obvious and lop-sided, it seems to work like this: The average Digg user is a 1. Mac User, 2. LIberal or at least someone who hates Bush, 3. An iPhone basher, and 4. Probably uses some type of linux at some point.
- tom6a, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Last year peer to peer lending site Prosper was Time’s #1 website of the year. This year online bank ING made the list. As someone who is somewhat familiar with Prosper (I write a blog for Prosper lenders) I wasn’t too surprised that it made the list in 2006. It’s an innovative idea – Prosper match borrowers who want to pay less than bank or credit card interest rates on loans with lenders who want to earn more than bank savings account or CD interest rates on their investments. Facebook’s Lending Club is a new competitor. I was surprised that ING made the list. Is this idea so new and innovative that it is one of the best websites of the year? More of my thoughts:
50 best websites of 2007 – ING replaces Prosper
http://prosperlending.blogspot.com/2007/07/50-best-websites-of-2007-ing-replaces.html - spyrochaete, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Sites like this make me glad I use ScriptBlocker. There's like 6 script hosts.
- Snyz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I think people are confusing this with a "best websites of all time list". I'm pretty sure this is just a list compiling the best websites created in 2007.
- adolfojp, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I found the list to be rather refreshing. I really like some of those websites and I hadn't heard of most of them before. I don't know if it qualifies as a 50 best of 2007, but it is a very good list nevertheless.
- Myonosken, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Wotartist.com?!
What. The. *****. That site is utter *****. - insanemike, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Sites one at a time?
More like sites 0 at a time. Thanks Time.com for frustrating me. - bovilexia, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1psssh no MySpace, buried as inaccurate.
/sarcasm
but seriously am i the only one who hasn't heard of half these websites - Venkatsubramane, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1> "It does the same exact thing while looking a lot nicer"
I guess I'll just have to take your word for it.

Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at www.4ca.st. - BlackholeStorm, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Digg is not dugg by Time
- hutchy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1dupe
http://digg.com/tech_news/50_Best_Websites_2007 - yuggaz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0well, if you take time and take a look at some of these web sites, you will see that they are good. Furthermore, digg is not in the list because digg is not created in 2007 nor facebook. Read before posting your comments.
