- Cannon13, on 10/12/2007, -8/+164Myspace? MYSPACE?
Noooooooo! - Celeron, on 10/12/2007, -2/+44What? Not even one porn site? I'm so ashamed.
- EggzDiggs, on 10/12/2007, -3/+44Getting the best 50 websites from Time is like getting fashion tips from your Grandpa.
- adml_shake, on 10/12/2007, -5/+45Anyone else notice they put Myspace under the wrong category? It's under "Staying Connected" when it should be under "Time Wasters". I'd better email them and let them know about their mistake...
- RichPowers, on 10/12/2007, -3/+32I love this Time list. It's how I first discovered TheOnion :)

Being a ... hippocrit... is the least of your worries. - MikeEnIke, on 10/12/2007, -11/+320siris,
Your typing and sentence structor makes my brain hurt. - Rhine23, on 10/12/2007, -4/+24But my grandpa dresses very nicely!
- MikeEnIke, on 10/12/2007, -7/+24Wow, I mispelled structure.
- lukas88, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18No wikipedia? I can't take this list seriously.
- etruscan, on 10/12/2007, -5/+17Myspace targetted a certain audience - and it hit the mark with deadly accuracy - so much so that debunking it will be a major undertaking. Teens - and pre-teens, want a place to put junk they think is cool. They have no interest in design - or interface - or optimization. They like Christina Aguilera, or Pimp My Ride, and so they want to slam an image of that on a space. Myspace is perfect for that.
It's like a teenager's room. Messy, trendy, and full of attitude. - bmson, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12Nice and all.
but where are...
wikipedia
answers.yahoo.com
deviantart.com
and creativecommons.org - BugMeNot2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11SiteAdvisor is a pretty good tool, though. McAfee didn't make it, though; they just bought it.
- Teague, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12Good list. Digg for Digg.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Siteadviser IS cool. The fact that its now part of the McAffee stable of bloatware is unfortunate though.
- SamyIsMyHero, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Myspace was a good idea, but it just looks so bad. All of those obscene backgrounds and horrible HTML work they should just take what ever revenue they have and make a new website that does not look like something I saw back in the 90s.
- bmson, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8and flicker is not on the list :/
- gd007, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9why is http://www.stumbleupon.com/ not there?
- nusuni, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I'm surprised they didn't have google or youtube under "Time Wasters" :-/
Or how about: http://gprime.net/game.php/kittencannon/
Stupid thing is still as addicting as when it first came out. - alphaterminus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4No Fark, No Digg.
- Forkmiester, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Interesting that Pandora is listed there - proving that sometimes the new effect (so popular RIGHT NOW) is impacting the results. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Pandora user too (don't forget to use Dave's Pandora's Box), but one of the 50th coolest sites? Hmmm.
Ugh even McAfee SiteAdvisor got listed. Did they forget that McAfee SUCKS??? :-) - DarthFredd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5It is worth noting that on the related (and superior) list, "25 sites we can't live without", contain wikipedia, the drudge report, blogger, and all the other sites many of you complain were not present on their 50 Coolest list.

In this respect, I agree: I wouldn't put down Wikipedia or Drudge as a "cool" website: they're not hip and sleek. They are tools, not playthings, to me. - Opheicus, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9Yu-Gi-Oh Groove? Ewww...
- bitcloud, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8Ubiqutious - yes...
cool... definitely not... (even wired had a hard time trying to paint it as cool) - LLXerxes, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I wish when you clicked on it it would directly link to it instead of a summary of it. it gets annoying after too long.
- antdude, on 10/12/2007, -7/+10Wow lots of penguins! Tux FTW!
- actionscripted, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6I can't believe it even made the list...
(OMG P0NIES!) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8Better add Digg to the timewasters category in your email
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2damn, like half the sites don't work in Safari, aweful
- fredsterss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2this list is pretty whacked out
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3GAY.
The Best Webpage in the Universe (www.maddox.xmission.com) should be the only one on the list. - JoeyDeacon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What no www.hootersonscooters.com?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Listen to Time magazine, they know cool.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1how come friendster not on the list?

http://www.e-com-mom.com/ - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Orkut..No Orkut!!!!????
Man, I live on that..and so does everyone I know.. - birdwatcher3000, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3If TIME could produce such a list we would all be reading TIME now instead of surfing DIGG.
I bet they all suck. - pglyman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not a bad coming from conglomerate news/media outlets Time and CNN. Actually, I got to hand it to CNN. For being such a seasoned media company they have done a fantastic job reinventing their product, and their website is by far the best of all the majors. Nice and clean without to many distractions. Content is good, easy to find and easy on the eyes. CNN.com should be included in the 50 Coolest Websites News & Information list.
- ksgant, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Is there a description of all these websites because I haven't upgraded to Web 2.0 yet...I'm still on 1.0
- Brokenrhino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why is digg listed and instead of Netscape?
- Sukino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not cool enough, which is true. Especially, when you already have digg there.
- bnitro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Gotta love the Human Clock
- hansenjm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Pandora is way cool - easily in my top 50. I don't know what you mean by being cool cause its brand new- Pandora is not brand new
- DirectCurrent, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Although, damn, I just tried out pandora and found it quite intriguing . . . .must explore further.
- mainchara, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the hype machine at least deserves a mention.
- vondruska, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I second that
- cannedsoup, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No Fark? wft?
- TimDigg, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4What's funny is we all know that they will come out with some snobbish alternative to myspace...that way everyone can say..."oh I'm not on Myspace like those trailer trash I'm on blah blah.com"...what's funny is it will be the same ***** different toilet....oh but it will be done in ajax so all the slashdot/digg crowd will love it....
- aschapm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2is del.icio.us not considered important enough?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Time Magazine messed up on their link to http://spreadsheets.google.com
Have a look on their site! They forgot the http:// - DirectCurrent, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1last.fm! last.fm! Last.fm! LAST.FM! I'm shocked this list didn't include last.fm, I discovered it a few months ago and it's changed the way I listen to, find out about, and discuss music.
