- arisp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^^ It's massive attack from 100th window
- zmbabwe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well this isn't really time lapse since they aren't pictures taken at regular intervals.
- Rojahon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0pretty cool
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey whats the music in the background?
- farr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The song is Future Proof by Massive Attack, from their album 100th Window. This song is played on disaster stuff alot for some reason... even though it ostensibly has nothing to do with disasters...
- HAKdragon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Am I the only one who read London as "Longhorn" ?
- LeegleechN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You don't need to record this in Wikipedia as it happens, you can just go into the history and step forward, which is what this guy actually did.
- AnnieMole, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Excellent story and indeed my own blog http://london-underground.blogspot.com appeared in Wikipedia several times on that day and was used as a "media source" on the day by The New York Times, Yahoo! News, CNN News and Metro. http://london-underground-news.blogspot.com/2005/07/july-7th-2005-london-bombings.html I was thankful that blogspot could cope with the level of traffic I had on that day alone.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, a wiki is a publically editable document, so you can type what you want. My brother was watching this movie with me and he noticed that too. Crazy.
- aprocter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0how did the 'you ***** muslims' thing get in it at the middle? can anyone type anything on wikipedia?
- lastminute, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hey guys
Thanks for diggin my little post!
Yeah its not a true time lapse but i think it does speak to what occured that day in terms of people creating media.
Also, it was done after the fact using the greasemonkey script. I just called it a time lapse because thats what it looks like to me! - Singee15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This really shows the power of wikipedia and it's ability to serve as mainstream news with good content.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah, don't you know what wikipedia is?
alhtough, some people use that as a way to denounce it. they're oblivious though--vandalisms are quickly dealt with. look at any page on basically anything on wikipedia and you'll see the quality. - bryantee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0All I have to say is ***** religion. They bombed the ***** out of people in the name of god. I just don't get it.
On a lighter note: I love Wikipedia, it's so handy. The time lapse was clever, and interesting to show how up-to-date it can be. - motionblur, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Further proof that mainstream media is knocking on death's doorstep.
Or is Wikipedia becoming part of the mainstream?
You decide... - lastminute, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't think the news media are in any way relying on the inkernets for their media...
they're just using it for what its good at, first hand accounts... - Starskey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It is sad really...that news and media outlets have to rely on the internets user base for their pictures and news.
- socrates, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I disagree. The bombings were about self-glorification and revenge, not religion.
- riot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0mirror of the download found here...

Located on the Wikipedia page: (I apologize for the length)
In the name of God, the merciful, the compassionate, may peace be upon the cheerful one and undaunted fighter, Prophet Muhammad, God's peace be upon him.
Nations of Islam and Arab nations: Rejoice, for it is time to take revenge against the British Zionist crusader government in retaliation for the massacres Britain is committing in Iraq and Afghanistan. The heroic Mujahideen [holy warriors] have carried out a blessed raid [ghazw] in London. Britain is now burning with fear, terror and panic in its northern, southern, eastern, and western quarters.
We have repeatedly warned the British government and people. We have fulfilled our promise and carried out our blessed military raid in Britain after our Mujahideen exerted strenuous efforts over a long period of time to ensure the success of the raid.
We continue to warn the governments of Denmark and Italy and all the crusader governments that they will be punished in the same way if they do not withdraw their troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. He who warns is excused.
