- bassman626, on 08/20/2008, -20/+475I find it funny that they give a math problem as a captcha. Last time I checked, computers were pretty good at math.
- brendanryder, on 08/20/2008, -3/+381Those cats on rapidshare are so ***** annoying!
- SonofaFish, on 08/20/2008, -4/+231Holy crap, I would fail that "select the three hot people" one every time, since I'm down with the girth. See, to me, "hot" equals "would ***** me."
- inactive, on 08/20/2008, -4/+221"in order to prove you are not a robot, select the three hot people" lol awesome, which site is that?
- dupems, on 08/20/2008, -15/+212And last time I checked, computers couldn't read the content of images and decipher whether or not what is displayed is a math problem, or a picture of someone's *****.
- usingpond, on 08/20/2008, -7/+198No. I won't. I will never willingly view a PDF inside of a SWF. It's not how the Internet should work.
- 88chrisb, on 08/20/2008, -1/+181I've waited for an article like this ever since Digg called me a ***** when they used CAPTCHA!

- 80andyhigh, on 08/20/2008, -5/+142Gotta give credit to digg for having a decent captcha.
- lowtolerance, on 08/20/2008, -4/+114Some of these have got to be fake.
- yatucaMP, on 08/20/2008, -3/+112dugg for "*****."
- sinkhead, on 08/20/2008, -6/+93Better than viewing a PDF in Acrobat Reader. Flash is pretty much instantaneous.
- PinkFloyd2003, on 08/20/2008, -0/+82The first time I saw that one it took me at least 10 tries before I realized there were also dogs.
- MattB123, on 08/20/2008, -1/+82No thanks.
- 10goto10, on 08/20/2008, -5/+80Since Digg stopped using CAPTCHAs when posting comments, how the hell did it take you three times?
- billbugger, on 08/20/2008, -1/+75"switch to men"
- Me0wmix, on 08/20/2008, -1/+65***** rapidshare.
- ha3er0, on 06/16/2009, -1/+62My computer has *****...
- l31101, on 08/20/2008, -2/+62you are supposed to be able to solve it in your head. you are not as nerdy as you want to be. you are as arrogant as you sound though.
- spercival, on 08/20/2008, -4/+62captcha are the beer googles for the internets.
- ha3er0, on 06/16/2009, -1/+56FWD FWD FWD FWD: Dude!! Totally AwEsOmE Captchas!!
- tdilworth, on 08/20/2008, -1/+55Last time i checked the average person probably couldn't solve those math problems
- ltkerr0r, on 08/20/2008, -4/+57I found Jesus... in my captcha.
http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/2051/jesuscaptc ... - m3mn0n, on 08/20/2008, -0/+47Why this couldn't just be an article with images, I don't know...
- wondertwins, on 08/20/2008, -2/+49putting calculus problems on a CAPTCHA is a really really bad idea
- AnonymousD, on 08/20/2008, -0/+42dugg for having the rapidshare cat capatcha in there.that site is bad enough just with the waiting times and it being down so much (and hence not rapid).
- btschul, on 08/20/2008, -0/+35I believe they got rid of them.
- btschul, on 08/20/2008, -1/+36It's where all the porn is.
- awesometastic1, on 08/20/2008, -0/+34@10goto10: Digg never stopped using captchas. Rather they only have users who don't meet a certain criteria enter a captcha. Not sure the exact formula, but if you're an active digger for about a month (submitting/commenting/digging other stuff fairly frequently) then you will see the captchas go away. Basically once they can be reasonably sure you aren't a spammer or a bot
- lalindsey, on 08/20/2008, -0/+33You do realize that automated bots can read that and will eventually figure out that all they have to do to spam you is fill in that input field.
You probably get no spam because your site isn't worthwhile enough for even bots to bother with it. - noahgelman, on 08/20/2008, -0/+32Calculus FTW
- 6shot, on 08/20/2008, -3/+34God I hate captchas...
- ap44, on 08/20/2008, -2/+32Taking what people say to you on Digg just a little seriously man?
- Erik1, on 08/20/2008, -2/+32The whole website had the feel of a bad powerpoint presentation...
- wonderbriefs, on 08/20/2008, -0/+29No, it's sad that you seek math-cred on Digg.
- mattlohkamp, on 08/21/2008, -0/+27tell me about it. what's up with this docstoc *****? Either make it a .pdf (adobe's app is broken, the format isn't,) or just use regular old html img tags.
- adidos, on 08/20/2008, -0/+26It used to be @ hotcaptcha.com, but apparently the site is now dead.
- KOSmurfy, on 08/20/2008, -0/+26First was 0, second was ln(2).
- edwartica, on 08/20/2008, -1/+27http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humor
- wonderbriefs, on 08/20/2008, -2/+27Most of these are absolutely fake.
- MattB123, on 08/20/2008, -0/+24Exactly. I should get grandma in on the action too.
- Peko, on 08/20/2008, -0/+24Sadly by your logic where hot = would ***** me I'd have to pay to get past the capcha.
Well, ...handily... enuff, I have my credit card ready for my surfing. - anononon, on 08/20/2008, -0/+23No you did not. Megaupload uses 3-character captchas.
- PleaseJustDie, on 08/20/2008, -2/+23Yeah because everyone who took calculus uses it so much in their every day lives that they still remember it and the people who didn't take calculus should know it instinctively.
- Vodd9, on 08/21/2008, -1/+22I think the one for Rapidshare with the puzzles is fake, but I can't be sure since the one with the cats is real.
- Metasquares, on 08/21/2008, -1/+22Does it bother anyone else that he used a partial derivative operator in a problem of only one variable? :)
- robertnealan, on 08/20/2008, -12/+33I'm a huge fan of rapidshare's kittens.
- AriaStar, on 08/21/2008, -1/+21Which three are hot? I didn't see three that were.
- Darkhacker, on 08/21/2008, -4/+24Good. I think Digg should use captchas like that. At least it can help filter out some of the bigger dumb asses. People who type "omg, u guyz er ghey" probably couldn't get past it.
