- LongStockings, on 06/22/2009, -1/+18The system goes on-line August 4th, 1997. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Twitter begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug.
- WorfoSAUR, on 06/22/2009, -6/+21It totally misses the whole "I'm poopin right now, and boy is it a big one" stage.

- Agamemnon582bc, on 06/22/2009, -1/+11I echoed the same sentiment--right up until Iranian protesters started using it to give on-the-fly updates of protests, giving about the only journalistic insight in a country where foreign journalists are being barred from reporting the news there amidst the protests.
- silver26, on 06/22/2009, -0/+9Although I do not agree with the usage of 'off the hook' in sentences, I have to agree... Shaq's twitter is pretty entertaining.
- inactive, on 06/22/2009, -2/+11Try these goggles.
- PabloMac, on 06/22/2009, -2/+10Twitpic or it didn't happen.
- richmomz, on 06/22/2009, -2/+9Number of informative "tweets" I've ever found = less than half a dozen.
Number of useless 12 year old rants and details about Lindsay Lohan's life I NEVER wanted to know about = 12,937 and counting. - trejrco, on 06/22/2009, -1/+7Um, just don't follow the emo/celebrity/"idiot govt types" and voila, problem solved.
- Unreal030, on 06/22/2009, -0/+6It's over? Then why are people still fighting there and why aren't the troops back?
- inactive, on 06/22/2009, -0/+5Twttr.com was the original domain name actually, and you typo'd when you pointed out a typo
- moskrin, on 06/22/2009, -1/+6How's he going to beat Lance when he's cuffed to Ben Stein?
- DirtyVicar, on 06/22/2009, -3/+8Who's managing the PR campaign for Twitter? They're out of control.
- hydroplane, on 06/22/2009, -0/+4Its obviously a tool to monitor the populace so that the government media can counteract with propaganda at the slightest sign of unrest. Thats why such a seemingly useless application is being pushed by every major media outlet. You don't need to microchip people when they gladly pay for cellphones that track your every movement and conversation.
- Kerplunk5975, on 06/22/2009, -0/+3Indeed. It is off the following:
The hook, the chain, the wall, the charts, the grid, but most importantly -- the wagon. - DivisibleByZero, on 06/22/2009, -1/+4signed, not unsigned
- skyer2000, on 06/22/2009, -0/+3Twitter is the pogs of the internet. It's only a matter of time before it's deemed pointless
- DBLaise, on 06/22/2009, -1/+4Ending the war is all fine and good but what about when those troops have to start coming home to a piss poor economy and no jobs we'll see how great everything is then.
- NorrisOBE, on 06/22/2009, -1/+4Where's #iranelection?
- daxxer, on 06/22/2009, -3/+5INFOGRAPHICS are actually kinda cool.

- badmephisto, on 06/23/2009, -0/+2I don't understand some people's hate for Twitter. Are you at war with the idea? or with the execution? Both of those seem good to me. What is it?
- nepidae, on 06/22/2009, -0/+2That unreadable monstrosity seemed to sum up twitter pretty well.
- Elranzer, on 06/22/2009, -0/+2~~~Mission Accomplished~~~
- h0ward, on 06/22/2009, -1/+3...So follow more informed people and stop following 12 year olds who talk about Lindsay Lohan?
I've never seen a Lindsay Lohan tweet in my stream cause I dont follow people who talk about her. - Innuendo24, on 06/22/2009, -1/+3I'm on facebook mother *****?
[/lonely island] - inactive, on 06/22/2009, -0/+2ditto, take things a little too serious much folks?
- leamanc, on 06/22/2009, -0/+2No they didn't. Read again.
- shalinshaun, on 06/25/2009, -0/+1twitter is fun when you signup but after a week you don't even know whether you had an account!

- DivisibleByZero, on 06/22/2009, -0/+1I'm confused to whether you're still looking for an answer. Yes, it did pass the max 32 bit signed integer. I'm not sure if that's actually "number of tweets" so much as the unique identifier per-tweet (i.e. they might not have started counting at 0). Google "twitpocalypse"
- planktonattack, on 06/23/2009, -0/+1buried for implying the beginnings of the internet were just leading up to twitter.
- seantubridy, on 06/22/2009, -4/+5Then don't follow those people! Either don't use twitter or try following people that post useful information. That's like saying book stores are stupid when you've only browsed the romance novels.
- Forbizzle, on 06/23/2009, -0/+1Anybody else tired of this infographic *****?
- DRNOOO, on 06/22/2009, -0/+1little hard when Twiter are plagued with them now !!
And it's all over TV about Twitter! Pretty bad when Barber Walters was bragging not wearing her bra in an airport on a flight she took with Lindsay lohen !about on the view today when my wife was watching !
