- fatTJ, on 06/01/2008, -4/+171“They are doing this to 12 year old girls, they are doing it to 80 year old women, and they do it to students. There are plenty of examples that show people having to quit school because they had to give all their money to the recording industry instead,”
-Jello Biafra - AudriusM, on 06/01/2008, -7/+162The Pirate Bay forever!!!
Keep seeding! - MaxMWood, on 06/01/2008, -12/+146***** THE RIAA!

- inactive, on 06/01/2008, -9/+40Nothing on it is illegal. It's all metadata.
- ElBeh, on 06/01/2008, -2/+32Totally. The only reason I look on TPB before better torrent sites like Mininova is because TPB stands up to the RIAA/MPAA/whatever more than other sites, and therefore I enjoy supporting them more than others.
- Me0wmix, on 06/01/2008, -4/+32Now...stop torrent throttling and I'll be happy.
- hmunkey, on 06/01/2008, -2/+29That is seriously the best thing I have seen this week.
- reed311, on 06/01/2008, -9/+35Yeah, it's funny that people on here really don't have much respect to copyright unless it's certain situations. For example, what if the Pirate Bay completely ripped digg off and put up a site called "Digg" with the exact same layout and everything else. People on this site would be screaming bloody-murder. But, downloading a movie or a song, which have the same copyright protections is perfectly acceptable and should be considered a right.
- bikeidaho, on 06/01/2008, -3/+29I agree. Legality is not the best way to base morality off of. At one time Slavery was legal and sodomy was illegal.
- Turbojugend27, on 06/01/2008, -23/+48ok I don't want to sound like a party pooper, but how does the Pirate Bay represent freedom? Everything on there is illegal, plain and simple. I use it myself. but I also realize that my actions are criminal and what is scary is that nobody realizes what they do now is illegal.
I dunno, I just find that scary - inactive, on 06/01/2008, -3/+26You forgot to take your meds this morning.
- Nekiruhs, on 06/01/2008, -2/+20***** THE ARRRRRIAA!
- snuggl, on 06/01/2008, -1/+17Mininova is not a bittorrent tracker, Its a site that index torrents that use other trackers, many of them from TPB.
TPB is indeed the biggest tracker. - carpespasm, on 06/01/2008, -1/+15who knew that pirates had better vocabularies than most people do today.
- qbthemc, on 06/01/2008, -2/+15I am snitching to the RIAA.
- ElBeh, on 06/01/2008, -0/+13Kinky.

- Junpei, on 06/01/2008, -0/+11I love pirates. (=
- scarwars, on 06/01/2008, -3/+14mininova isn't a tracker you dimwit
- MOates, on 06/01/2008, -2/+13No one likes Disturbed. End of story.
- Acglaphotis, on 06/01/2008, -0/+11Your face is backwards.
- Rustiga, on 06/01/2008, -3/+14I'm sure we're all guilty of downloading stuff illegally, but I hate when people make the argument that the Band/Organization gets so little money it's not even worth buying it? Every little bit counts, I hate when people try to explain things to others to justify it to themselves.
Bury or whatever, you know it's true. - ElBeh, on 06/01/2008, -0/+9That's what she said.
- n3tfury, on 06/01/2008, -1/+10*golf clap*
- Ksg89, on 06/01/2008, -4/+13Sharing is caring!
- diceau, on 06/01/2008, -3/+12There's a big difference between using something illegally and claiming something as your own.
As a person about to enter the media with an intellectual product, my hope is that people enjoy my work enough to purchase it and my fear is that someone might try to rip it off and sell it as their own. Piracy on the other hand doesn't seem to even get a care out of me. Why? Because the people who are pirating it probably wouldn't have bought it anyway, at least them getting it for free gets me exposure and might get a few extra fans along the way.
Long live piracy. - cupajoe60, on 06/01/2008, -1/+9OK that fills my weird quota for this month.
- skaldicpoet9, on 06/01/2008, -1/+9Now that is just silly. The whole point of this is to let "content providers" know that consumers aren't interested in the same business model that has worked in the past. I will gladly pay for any artist's work be it musician, programmer etc...I just don't want to be screwed in the process. I like music but paying almost $17 dollars for a cd is ridiculous. When Radiohead released In Rainbows I actually paid for it instead of opting to get it for free. Do you realize that if people weren't able to make money off of their efforts that they would be severely crippled in the quality of content that they could provide?
- ultrafez, on 06/01/2008, -0/+8WTF with the guy/girl thrusting with the spade?
- Greg2k, on 06/01/2008, -0/+8Not only that; Bush believes there are many!
- inactive, on 06/01/2008, -2/+10I think there are no coincidences in life. I have paid exactly as much for my downloads as the RIAA and the MPAA have distributed to the artists from the lawsuits they have settled. Zero dollars and zero cents.
- jakash, on 06/01/2008, -2/+9You killed it.
- RSterkenburg, on 06/01/2008, -3/+10Dugg down because you said "dugg me down" not "digg me down" and because you even mentioned it at all.
- FunkyLlama, on 06/01/2008, -20/+27I'm so glad I have TPB to help me rip off legitimate artists! Thanks!
- FadieZ, on 06/01/2008, -0/+7Win.
- McMaster88, on 06/01/2008, -0/+7same here...I think I used TPB maybe once or twice in the years it has been around.
- fzammetti, on 06/01/2008, -0/+7That's right... as opposed to now when slavery is illegal and sodomy is leg... err, wait...
"...the best way to base morailty off of".
I hate playing grammar police, but you know, sometimes...
Incidentally, isn't it crazy that in the United States at least, if you commit sodomy you're very likely to be put in a place where someone is going to sodomize you? Dunno if that's right or wrong, you could argue it both ways I guess. - deepinside, on 06/01/2008, -1/+7yeah, for a 12 year old. wtf
