makes sense to me! - joshualamgroup, on 08/15/2008, -1/+26Exactly like Denmark's Tele2 ISP blocking TPB..
When WILL they learn? - falafelkiosken, on 08/15/2008, -0/+25except the publicity IFPI, RIAA and MPAA gets

ok, that makes better sense now. - Azimuth1, on 08/15/2008, -0/+22I was the same. I'd never heard of The Pirate Bay before the huge raid in 2006, which was what made me aware of it. Now I use it all the time.

- jer2eydevil88, on 08/15/2008, -0/+18They could hire mercenaries from companies like blackwater and invade Sweden under the premise of spreading democracy. Although I'm not sure if they would spend more money on that kind of war and nation building than they claim to lose in piracy.
- scojac, on 08/15/2008, -2/+18They can kill the people who run TPB, but they can never take....
OUR FREEDOM!!!!!!!! - Nemisys, on 08/15/2008, -2/+18Their government better watch out, the last time a group of Italians got pissed off they got together and formed the mob!
- zaffir, on 08/15/2008, -0/+10No, see, the trick is you get the American taxpayers to foot the bill for the invasion.

- Renian, on 08/15/2008, -2/+8Oh Streisand Effect, how I love thee.
- inactive, on 08/15/2008, -0/+6If they'd been paying attention at all they'd know that only Ninjas stand a chance at defeating Pirates...
- Andrwmorph, on 08/15/2008, -0/+5The Pirate Bay - Heroes/cockroaches of the internet
- phoomp, on 08/15/2008, -1/+65% increase, over previously stable traffic, through a "block". I'd say that's pretty good.
- twodimman, on 08/15/2008, -0/+5thepiratebay.org is working for me now. they must have reopened it since they've seen that a mirror (i.e. www.labaia.org official TPB mirror) was enough to let us use the site again. they're so lame. This issue has become mainstream news the last week, so that's the main reason of the spike. To be honest tho, 99% of italians have no idea what TPB is, we're pretty much all into eMule and KAD networks. Cheers from berlusconi's lair...wish me luck.
- satyarth, on 08/15/2008, -0/+5Backfire. What do I
win? - diggmaddy, on 08/15/2008, -0/+5True. The Pirate Bay is no longer just a torrent host, it has become a symbol, just like the League of Shadows or Batman. It cannot be killed :).

- Oddish, on 08/15/2008, -0/+4Invade Sweden under the premise of spreading democracy? Uh... Sweden is one of the most democratic countries in the world. That's more than what can be said about the USA in its current state.
- 22justin, on 08/15/2008, -0/+2the Italian government also shut down Italys largest private tracker about three week ago, COLOMBO-BT.org
Maybe the guys from TPB can get in contact with the admin from colombo and find him some proper hosting - prattmic, on 08/15/2008, -0/+2

- derjames, on 08/16/2008, -0/+2You should read the legal section of the TPB...
- melodeath666, on 08/16/2008, -0/+1I remember "asstunnel", classic word from the good old days. Dugg.

- Intamin, on 08/16/2008, -0/+1When will the wreck clear? It seems using the pirate bay to reroute traffic is a little inefficient, no? What with all the ships they'll need to carry the cars...plus they have to worry about people getting robbed, scurvy, and walking the plank.
Don't they just have another interstate? -
