- Foo667, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12That's some serious marketing ***** right there.
MySpace's whole angle is the notion that the army of young individuals can somehow craft out a unique space on the web by clustering around the same website. Sure thing sport, unique... Just like everyone else.
MySpace has always been and will increasingly be controlled by business interest, not the users. - Flooq, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Nothing says unique like filling in a template!
- dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Another one to add to the "People I'd like to punch in the face"-list

So does this mean that it's gonna be dedicated to the emo/cry baby teenager soon? Or free dating site that the old crowd seems to use it for? - headzoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"They're defining the experience, not us."
Except they keep suing everyone who tries to build on the experience. - Angostura, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6It seems to me that this precisely the same sentiment as that expounded by the people who run Digg.

I could write volumes on how much I hate myspace users. This man is partially responsible for so much wrong.
A platform for self-obsessed teenagers to shout about how alone and different they are (presumably also from all the other teenagers on the site who are alone and different).
I can't blame the kids themselves, kids are kids. However once we start catering for them in these ways, then they start thinking they're actually being meaningful in some way, and perhaps never grow out of it. I think maybe they thought that with the invention of the term teenager back in the day too, but that blew over okay, so maybe we'll be okay too.
To the myspace kids on this site: if you want to be different, that's okay, just stop being different in exactly the same way as everyone else your age. Also, you can't choose to be different, you just are, and if you're not, that's okay too. And lastly SHUT THE HELL UP! NO ONE (of importance) CARES! - nullmind, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"As long as we don't screw it up, we're fine"
I guess I am the only one that notices that time has very much passed. However, it's important to note that any technology we will abuse... We have the ability to communicate instantly across the entire world at the touch of a button....
But instead we download porn. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6"as long as we don't screw it up, we'll be fine."
Too late dummy... you MADE myspace and have already screwed up. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5From what i understand, under the sign-up agreement now, any bands that put their music on there agree to Fox's terms that Fox can then use that music in any way they choose. I'd imagine if some band got signed by a label after hearing them on MySpace (yeah, right), Fox could then choose to step in and say no that music belongs to us.

- Magadass, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah but hes only rich cause he took a ***** in a bowl of gold.
- PAJK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3% of MySpace users that get laid, who are underage: 65%
- LawrenceDudley, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Why can't myspace sort out their code, and build some frickin API's?
Myspace is a purely commercial venture I'm afraid, and I only use it because, well, everyone else does at the end of the day... - venom8599, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@skyshock21
It's not like that. It's a non-exclusive license to distribute the content "through the MySpace services." That clause is simply to make it clear that MySpace can host that content online for users. Once the content is removed from MySpace, they lose any rights that were licensed to them. - dhastings, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3"We're just letting it rip.", odd choice of words seeing how in my opinion, MySpace is the ultimate fart of the Internet.
- joshjoneswas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Agreed! Also, myspace != web2.0
- joshjoneswas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Good point. I am terrified to try to sell my friend adder, etc programs
- Vapid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2You're missing the point. MySpace has over 80 million members with 250,000 signing up every day. And not to mention, he's rich and you're not :X
Someone had to say it - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2lmao obviously you care. get a life and stop making fun of people.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+6Um, why are people digging this....?
Oh wait, they must be emo. Nevermind, moving on. - bennypowers, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1hahah yeah, TOO LATE!!
