    Please explain how this is lame. If you can provide a valid reason, I'll run around Digg rating all the US only articles and special offers (e.g. "Seagate 250GB hard drive! Only $250 with rebate!!1") as lame too. The moral of the story? Live with it. There are other countries in the world. Either that, or download the torrent. I'm still watching the torrents myself, because they're ever so better quality than the official ones from the site.

    Still, I find the show hilarious (Jen is a great character), and made it a series link on my Sky+ box. Can't wait to see more.

    Okay. The fact that Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Blackadder, Mr. Bean, The Office, Only Fools and Horses, Open All Hours, not to mention loads more, all sold for millions and are widely regarded as some of the best in the business, has absolutely no merit, hm?

    I wonder what it must cost them in bandwidth?

I can understand that British networks would want to get paid for their shows but I do pay to watch British shows. This is maddening with The IT Crowd but even more intensely frustrating with the video downloads made by the BBC itself exclusively for netizens in the UK. Hey! Lots of us across the pond pay to support your programming! and we would like to be able to download shows too. Give us a legal way to purchase your content if you don't want us ignoring your property rights.

    Well, I'll give it a try once I'm back home, but the problem was that non-WMP users were getting 404 errors - not just getting a "no can do" message when attempting to play the downloaded file.

    Nerd stuff was mostly just backdrop in this episode, but the content is a lot funnier than ep1.
  • sdbryan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1They managed to make it worse than the second episode? I only bothered to watch because of the enthusiastic recommendations. What a disappointment. It takes the worse in American sitcoms and slaps on English accents. If you want to see a smart funny show the last four FOX episodes of Arrested Development are going to be on opposite the long and boring opening day ceremonies of the Olympics on Friday. Shortly after that they will be available as torrents and eventually as DVDs.

    It's a shame 'cause I was expecting something a lot better given the talent in it and other very good things they've been in (e.g. Morris in Brass Eye, Ayoade in Garth Marengi's Darkplace)

    I won't be downloading this episode.
