- ThrillSeeker, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Here's the problem: The two hosts have no chemistry. They can't play off each other whatsoever. The topics and what they talk about are fine, but ugh.. It was very difficult to watch.
One of the things I like most about Diggnation is Kevin & Alex's ability to play off each other. They speak the same "language", they are funny and I can relate to them, as I think a lot of the Diggnation audience can. Om is hilarious! - seanherman, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4I actually felt the same way about his appearances on Cranky Geeks, he seemed smug and arrogant. I just finished watching the show though, and have to say I really enjoyed it. Both guests were quite good, especially Bill Watkins, who provided some great insights for someone like me who doesn't have the time or knowledge to figure out and understand where technology is heading. Om seemed a little smug, like I remember him from CG, but somehow less obnoxious. The mild mannered co-host seems to smooth out Om's very rought edges, and made him seem almost entertaining, like some partly-self-aware caricature.
The show was extremely professional as well, feeling most like InDigital in comparison to other Rev3 shows, but with guests and more discussion. Cranky Geeks is actually the best comparison, except it's more of an interview than a roundtable. The ad even fit seamlessly into the show (unlike Cranky Geek's horrible ads -- anyone else hate roller skating robots and ipod toilet paper holders as much as I do?). - Atertract, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1In an effort to ask some critical questions I think Om stumbled over himself a little bit, but I like the journalistic aspect. Instead of just a series of puff pieces and self-congratulatory nothingness, Om is actually saying, What's the point? Is your idea going to fail? Can you really make money doing this? The cynical angle he brings could play well off of Joyce's more enthusiastic, tech-fan approach.

Joyce was charming, funny at times, and did a good job keeping Om focused. Is the show polished? Not really. Could the hosts stand to have better chemistry? Sure. But I did detect a subversive quality to their interaction that could get interesting after a while. Did you people even make it to the porn conversation?
