- dacheetah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well I buried it as Lame, because it's about as useful as a dictionary with a bad definition of a single word starting with each letter. Oh wait, it IS a dictionary with a bad definition of a single word starting with each letter...
You need alot more than 26 obscure words to describe wireless, and a better description of each would have been nice... - downfoot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Under the WiMax section it says "Milton Keynes will be the venue for the first commercial WiMax trial" however the first commercial deployment of WiMax is taking place in Muskegon, Michigan.
One of many sources: http://qonverge.com/blog/?p=33 - KB1775, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0while the dictonary might be limited and lack a lot of information there are definatly some people it could help, including myself. Wireless is definatly the way of the future and those that are hoping to make money off of it better make sure that the people they want to buy their product understand what they are spending money on. Most consumers dont buy what they dont understand and with the baby boomers retireing and sitting on some fat cash maybe a wirelss provider could use this basic dictionary to teach them a thing or two about the newfangled internet. I remember when nintendo64 came out, adults had never seen anything like it and never got into it because it was marketed towards kids especially males. In my opinion this drastically limited their consumer base and is rumored to be the reason why nintendo came out with a new controller for the wii, so more people could understand it. Rather than just market to technology geeks buisness could really grow if all of a sudden having a wireless pda was the norm for every teenager too.
