been more appropriate - Grumby24, on 10/23/2007, -7/+17Anyone who is stupid enough to have tried this and thought they would get paid deserves to get burned.
- jkirk7msa, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Finally someone puts this scheme in it's place. I'm definitely going to be passing this link around. DUGG.
- coolian, on 10/23/2007, -3/+9There's a reason there's "loco" in AGLOCO.
- garg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6John chow and the top ten are the only people who will be making money from this thing.
- diggsIt, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I don't know about the fineprint, but the submitter should read his boldprint.
- DrewBlood, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Never got paid by AllAdvantage back in the day, don't see why I'd get paid by these guys either.
- Dotian, on 12/11/2008, -0/+1Agloco has been closed. After scamming so many people, how they can run away like this?
- DiscoLando, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Could someone 'decontruct' the headline while they're at it?/
- kimoftheworld, on 04/15/2009, -0/+1It's a very big scam.. you can read between the lines..
http://readingspeedcourse.com/ - iwonitagain, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1I have yet to see the toolbar ????????????????????
- unixbob71, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3More dirt on Agloco-
http://15000dollarmission.blogspot.com/search/label/Agloco%20scam - Falco98, on 12/12/2007, -0/+0I got paid by AllAdvantage, for several months (300 or 400 dollars a month) before they started watering it down and eventually went belly-up..
- iwonitagain, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Then WHEN are the going to make the tool bar active??? In my next life??
- Hardcase, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Agloco burst onto the scene? What's an Agloco?
- markowe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Yeah, I am in two minds. It would be strange if the scheme were an outright scam, since the people involved actually probably care at least something for their reputation. It sounds more like a rather shaky business model. Still, I signed up just in case :) I am also having some fun with it though:
http://future-phobia.blogspot.com/2007/03/exploited-chinese-laborers-in-evil-get.html - danialhashim, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Thats a lot of dirt.
- iwonitagain, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0AAAAAMen to that!! When are they ever going to make the active tool bar anyway??? Oh well., Ive allready signed up. Whats 5 hrs a month?? I am on the internet waaay more than that with my online businesses and maybe I will eventually get paid. Who knows!! In the meantime I didn't have to fork over thousands for an online GET RICH QUICK scam.
- xtr3m, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2But John Chow tells otherwise!
- brainbox, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2I remember the original AllAdvantage. I was lucky enough to make use of it before it went to crap, and I got a few modest cheques from them. They paid for my first domain name, back in about 98/99-ish.
I was even pretty much entirely legit as a user - my only sneak was a cheap trick on the early versions of the bar to make it "go green" for things other than Internet Explorer (most notably, getting it green for Netscape and for mIRC - I was there on my PC at the time and seeing the ads, so I decided I was going to get myself paid for them). I had maybe 3 referrals under me, who were all people I knew directly and asked me to hook them up. Oh how I hated the spammers.
This new thing is just a complete stinky waste-of-time though. - michael12345678, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Remember, AGLOCO isn't just for people who want to make thousands of dollars surfing. It is starting a trend by which ordinary people are able to get what they should from advertising. AGLOCO's start may be a bit rocky, but the demand for targeted advertising and infomediaries to filter out the junk and make the most value of advertising is not going to go away. Adsense didn't bomb, and neither did the Google toolbar. Why should something that is basically a combination of the two AND pays the user falter?
Remember, people like Ray Everett-Church are involved. They are not going to stake their reputations on something that is a total folly.
Here's more on why AGLOCO won't fail: http://joinagloco.blogspot.com/2007/02/7-reasons-why-agloco-is-not-going-to.html - mindcrime, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Why do I have a feeling this outfit is holding a job for Andy Fastow; if and when he is ever released from prison?
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Fastow, for anybody who doesn't know who Andy Fastow is) - klawz, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3I can --- 0% to you, 100% to AGLOCO - did you read THIS article?
- manchesterU, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Hmmmm I'm not sure the article is accurate, but can someone break down the financials for AGLOCO in this link?
http://haroldbbbg1619.wordpress.com/tag/agloco/simmons-report/ - magdy2007, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0Why Agloco?
http://join-agloco-community.blogspot.com/ - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2consumed by my mad dreams!
- AntiBollocKs, on 10/23/2007, -3/+2I think the only people who sign up for this have 5+ cats or some sort of mental disability...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I love you for bringing this to the front. People have all been promoting agloco without knowing how this thing would really work. I've never really liked agloco anyway, thank God!
- ketracel, on 10/23/2007, -3/+1and it's over before it begins: http://digg.com/tech_news/Agloco_Won_t_Pay_Members_After_All
- manchesterU, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2yes I read the article. Did you read through the financial breakdown in the link? Compare that with the original article and show me where the financial plan is going wrong.
- wangarific, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I don't mind the model, I just think the blatant fanboyish for a product/service/system/whatever that few people truly understand really does make people look stupid and exposes their true motivations.
- Shockerusa, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1John Chow is my hero!!!
- jdroth, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1My favorite part about AGLOCO so far is all the "it's doing so much better than anyone had expected" hype from the supporters. Oh really? Last time I checked AGLOCO was nothing but a signup page. How is that doing better than expected? I thought at this point you all were supposed to have a toolbar that let you make big bucks while surfing the web. Sounds to me like the only one doing better than expected is whoever has collected those 2 million e-mail addresses in the signup database.
- pswar, on 10/23/2007, -4/+1I can't believe people fall for these stupid schemes!
- 1dollaratime, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0All this is just crap!
See my answer to these pointless accusations! They are all meant to drive traffic to the sites and to make money through adsense!
http://aglomerate.com/2007/03/27/reply-to-kumikos-agloco-is-a-scam-post-2/ - manchesterU, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1yes I read the article did u read through the link for the financial breakdown. Just asking for a clear explanation because I'm not sure the original article is accurately depicting what's going on.
