techcrunch.com — What ’s cool about Kango is the way it slices up search subjectively. so like if I was tying to find a romantic hotel it would look at the various review on the web and decide if it matches and then give those results. Anyways the big question is does it work? looks like they have a private beta 100 slots from this story...

- diggerfromca, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0really good write-up I think that this idea is pretty interesting, analyzing what people are saying about hotels rather than just the star rating could give some results that are better and expose the crappy hotels that charge to much but all the travel sites call "4 stars"
- rahimf, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0sounds cool. considering the mountains of user-generated content found across travel sites, it's painfully obvious that a filtration system of some sorts would be super useful. it sounds like that's what kango is trying to do: harness the wisdom of crowds to create some sort of expert system. very niiiice. i've signed up for the beta.
