Tanglr(BETA) anyone? - maddla, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12That's because there are 25 diggers just like me sitting at their computers in their underwear with the "Add Your Comment" window open, trying to come up with something to say.
Oh, Yipee this article is about more crap to add to your computer... Digg is causing my computer to have a Hernia. - sciencebase, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Shouldn't it be called Detangler?
- geekgeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Hey, Mick from Tangler here. We'd love to open it up immediately, but there is a couple of system issues that we need to work on to make sure it's a smooth experience. It's early days for us and we have a lot more we can do to make it really rock. And we are more then happy to bring on people who really want to beta test and give us feedback. gotgroup tangler com
BTW, we don't want to 'detangle' - we want you to get lost in the 'tangle' of good conversation. :-) - philbutler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Hi Brianteck! I am helping test the Beta and the reason they don't just open it up is because they are preparing it so that it does what you want it to. No really good Web 2.0 start-up just opens the door like Walmart! Be patient or email me and I will see if I can get you in to test the service. Track this article back to me and let me see what I can do for you :)
- briantech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3So why isn't there anywhere you can try it, without sending them a "omg please let me into your cool club" email? Its not like forum technology is like nuclear power plant blueprints. Just show us already.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It seems to be coded in Java. Too bad. I'm more a PHP kinda guy :)
- crbaker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2So you don't use Google Search because it is written in C++!
- sciencebase, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I did think of saying tanglr.com and it could have a nice bulbous logo with a smart alec reflection right below it etc etc etc. Can't wait till Web 2.0.1
- missrogue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've been using Tangler since last fall (they are also clients) and I can tell you that I think they are ready to open it up. ;) But then again, they want to be perfectionists (open it up already!). I may be biased, but I loved the idea of synchronous/asynchronous discussion right away. It's like taking forums, adding IM, wikifying them a wee bit and allowing for personalization (group forming). Have I said that I vote for opening it up? ;)
- megabuzz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Have you placed an order for Tangler for your personal needs? ;)
- realsurreal2, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4It's not. It's blog spam.
- starquake, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3* insert description of how digg works *
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Ick, that webiste looks like a web 2.0 ripoff of the MSDN library.
http://www.profy.com/wp-content/images/phil1/tanger.gif - sensibledriver, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Why?
- SvetlanaG, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2It looks like we already have enough stupid names. I can only thank them for not choosing Tanglr - while that's something I usually expect of an application these days :)
- SvetlanaG, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2It was beta tested in a blog post. Something really unusual? Is it actually so difficult to read articles you digg and comment? Besides, the company has offered anyone to ask for an invite. So why don't you use your efforts (those you use to write comments, for example) to send a short email "I want to be invited to beta test of Twango".
- jman8888, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3WTF . Why was this FP'd
- opensourcemaven, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3NO SOUP FOR YOU!
- slayerboy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0stupid question of the day.....
"HTF is this news?" - alteratti, on 10/12/2007, -13/+254 diggs, and no comment.
now thats Digg history.
