I love it guys! Keep up the Great work! - danakin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I doubt that Leo Laporte is that much of a jerk to sue over a TWiT fan netcast.

http://www.drivefive.net/mp3/twitarmy_001.mp3 - binder520, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11This just shows how strong the TWiT army is.
- MrObjectional, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9I heard them talking about this a day or two ago, and it turned out really well. You can comment at that site (no need to register or anything) and tell them what you think about these topics, or what you want to see in the next TWiT Army Netcast.
- overbyte, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7i call it a wibblecast.
feel free to use it - nickm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6^^ for a second there i thought you were i440, was getting my mouse on the red button by instinct :)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Ore Leo could just 'license' it at zero cost. That way he still appears to have done his part to protect the name, but won't have to be an utter sod like companies like apple that are sue happy to protect a trademark they don't even own.
- Tunguska, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Good idea boys. Get Leo back on track.
- Kiel, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8This is brilliant, well done
- gvsudahc, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7I really liked the show. One more podcast to fit in during the week.
- c_starfish3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4the netcast was done well. Glad to see Leo is keeping Twit alive for now
- ThankTheCheese, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4The TWiT army needs some reinforcements in the form of bandwidth.
- matthawaii, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3why is the web site down?
- extreme101, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2thanks for the links
- danakin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Netcast is more fitting. You won't get sued for using the term, and since you can listen to netcasts on any DMP (not just an iPod) it is more logical.
- FrankieAngels, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That's great news - I love listening to the guys and would miss it if it died!
- danakin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3You won't get sued for using the term "netcast" though. And after all, it is more fitting, since not everyone listens to netcasts on an iPod. Netcast is simply the logical term to use.
- ashchristopher, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Is this going to be a regular podcast? Or is it merely a filler while Leo is away?
I guess what I really want to know is, is this a podcast (netcast) which I should be subscribing to or is it a one-off? - MrObjectional, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Well it's a good thing it's a NETcast then, isn't it?
Creative Commons license ftw! - eagleswings, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Is there a mirror because the site is down?
- pjevans, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well done! Considering the 48 hours turnaround, I was amazed by the professionalism and quality of the cast. I had to drive 90 minutes into London today (Mac Expo, yay!) and was peeved 'cos I had no TWiT to listen to. You guys saved me from the hell of daytime radio. (I can't listen to music in the car, I sing too loud and get weird looks at the lights) Thanks!
PS. Glad to hear you've come to your senses, Leo! I promise to subscribe this time. Really, I will. Yes, I know I said that last time, but listen... - MrObjectional, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3PS- Elliot is trying to contact Leo gain his blessing/indifference/cease and decist notice. Further development is in a holding pattern.
- newtonapple, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2funny intro
- remo2012, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://returnofwhatever.blogspot.com/
These guys are as good as TWIT. - overbyte, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Brilliant news - thanks for the link
- t.toe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3good job guys. but you seem to have the same problem I do when I speak... there's a lot of "umm's" and "uhhhh's". keep an eye out for those in the future.
- MrObjectional, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That was something that came from the digg comments originally, and now has caused a bundle of problems.
And there almost no editing done to the recording- it was a requirement to get it out on this schedule. - ahirreddy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Thank god TWIT is not dead. My day has been made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- jonnyeh, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Actually, Macbreak Weekly is one of Leo's best podcasts, it's up there with Daily Giz Wiz and Security Now.
- MrObjectional, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The site is down, but I don't think it was from bandwidth...
Elliot was having second thoughts about the appropriateness of using the TWiT name after a visit to the official TWiT forums, or so I'm told. - tranbonium, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://www.duggmirror.com/
- thetron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2No offense. But i don't think you should be riding on the name of twit
I'm not implying that you shouldn't at all use the name or leo would disapprove - rozwar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hello bradintheusa,
On your advice, I checked out BRAN. Awesome tech podcast (love the Aussie accents!). I can see how they were inspired by TWiT. They also like to get stuck into some risque content (oooer!) and they have a good laugh together. Highly enjoyable. Thanks for the tip. - mikeyp, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5I heard the show and felt it was really well done and professional. I hope that it becomes a possible supplement to TWiT. Perhaps Leo will have them on show at some point. Good show guys!!!
- overbyte, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1buried for flaming netcast but the umbrella comment made me laugh
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Ahh crap, I dugg the topic before i actually heard it first. i didnt like it at all, very slow and boring
- bradintheusa, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1A good replacement for TWiT is http://bran.com.au/podcast/ I have been listening to it for a while. It is done by people who know what they are talking about. It is a good filler for when there are no TWiT weeks.
- mytea, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Agreed.. Sorry for the comment spam but I want to add my support to these guys..
- AussieScribe, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Here here. Congratulations to all involved for getting this done.
Well done, guys.

(Perth, Western Australia) - JohnTheTechGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey Brad, thanks for the great rap!
I'm the producer of BRAN, and it was actually listening to TWiT that inspired me to propose the idea of an Australian weekly tech podcast to (Bloody) Roulla, Angus & Nathan back in April (2006).
Thanks for listening and helping to spread the word, and long live the TWiTs!
Remember to check out http://www.bran.com.au/ for BRAN, a healthy dose of tech. - wadaodi, on 03/13/2009, -0/+0I think a good DVD to iPod Converter is necessary:
http://www.convertdvdtoipod.org/ - dote11, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Thanks for stepping up!
- penneyisok, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Seeing as Leo got TWiT trademarked, these guys might have to change there name. They have to fight every trade mark infringement or they will lose it. This happen not to long ago with digg.
Also might I say, Good show. I'm going to be continuing listening. - top5tech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Did you see this?

Best,
Benjamin - mikeyp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Andy Walker is about as exciting as watching ice melt. Has anyone seen how lame he was on Call for Help. The Dudertown Twit Army podcast is MUCH better...
- musicbear, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Good initial wibble cast effort, though I think Leo is now back tracking from his initial huffing and puffing...
- 8bit_Hero, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Too apple heavy. i got tired of hearing them kiss apples ass and slam MS. They blame the RIAA for apple not releasing their DRM to other music services. NO STUPID! it's apple and they don't want to let go of any market share that they have with portable devices. I don't blame apple but don't dick around that apple doesn't do shady stuff, they are a business just like any other. Just like MS and windows, they have a monopoly on portable media and when you have it you don't let it go unless they make you. ::whew!:: that's my rant.
- webbuzz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Good show and thanks for satisfying my TWiT craving
