- frant1c, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7The site (Swivel) doesn't work yet, but I mucho like the idea. I look forward to comparing the number of bald overweight guys in San Francisco to the average number of wing flaps of an Indian swallow.
- kassx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5A swallow couldn't carry the weight of a coconut. It's a matter of ratios...
- geekitechture, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Can't you people just stick to AOL? ^^^
- md81544, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I tried searching for pirates to compare against global warming but couldn't find anything :)

- ejoech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"You and other users can then compare that data to other data sets to find possible correlation (or lack thereof). Compare gas prices to presidential approval ratings or UFO sightings to iPod sales. Track your page views against weather reports in Silicon Valley"
Could be interesting... - blueigloo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Uh... sounds like wikipedia?

techcrunch is the lamest crap blog on earth. i subscrbed to it for a day and ditched it. - TDavid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This service is live now. I just signed up this morning and checked it out.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What are you talking about?
Any information = data. - huned, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yummy swivel.
- scottyc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It says one can "upload data - any data", but you can only upload data in the form of a single variable versus time. I can't upload the diameter of various stars and planets, I can't upload the engines available on a Fiat Punto. I can only upload a single variable and its value at various points of time.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's nice, but needs a more Semantic Visual Goodie; SVG, or Scalable Vector Graphics, the open standard of the World Wide Web Consortium that you find everywhere. See the broad range of links on http://svg.startpagina.nl
- scottyc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Any data? Bah, sounds like any single variable over time. That is not all data. Not even close.
- mdornfeld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0...from the makers of Alexa.
- secretivecoward, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Techcrunch is LAME.
Mike is an idiot wrapped in a moron. - wiremonkeymommy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0probably a fluke.. but, I went there and found two topics on their front page that immediately interested me... volatile temperature swings and electricity profits (got derivatives, you too can cash in on global climate change /sarcasm) and a comparison between MMORG's with real (where real dollars can be earned) economies.
cool stuff, dugg - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0actually, all our graphs are first rendered in svg, then dumbed down to png so IE users can view them. ;) ah, the pains of the web. 2.0.
visnu - a swivel eng guy - alen3K, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3can't u ppl just just subscribe to techcrunch?
- Kebert, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Whatever, what do they offer that many other hosts do not?
