- brendanc, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Man, we need a "digg frontpage algorithm explained" digg article!
- gbresnahan2, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9there's 3 more companies i'd never heard of
- gosix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4It's great to see this news. Ben and Mena (Sixapart) had to go through a lot of finally get success with Typepad and Movable Type going. It's fun to see former classmates on the front page of Digg :).
- T0PS3O, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6How about you actually comment on the story, rather than boring everybody to death with nonsense.
I for one find this interesting news. It was about time for a wave of consolidation in this fragmented industry. It will probably lead to far better and more innovative services. - meepus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4It's worth mentioning that SixApart owns LiveJournal, which is the most widely used service in their Swiss Army Knife portfolio. I'm sure this acquisition will be pointed mainly toward improving the search functionality of SixApart's sites, as SixApart has indicated they have no interest in the news reader. They're also retaining the executives as staff.
- scorpy01, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I was skeptical when Six Apart bought LiveJournal and concerned that things would change there. I had watched iVillage go from a great Women's community to crap, almost overnight. Things did change at LJ but in good ways. I'm glad to see Six Apart continuing to move forward and growing.
- techaddress, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1TechCrunch Announces Six Apart Acquires Rojo. Well, Michael Arrington, editor of the leading weblog TechCrunch, has done it again. He has broke an exciting, industry specific story before anyone else, including Google News and Yahoo! News. Impressive to say the least. TechCrunch has just announced that Six Apart has acquired Rojo.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Especially when this could be the most yawn-inducing "story" of the day.
LAME. - Higgins, on 10/12/2007, -8/+7If you have nothing to contribute to the discussion but "who cares" next time don't.
- meepus, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1I wrote about the article, and got digged down? Fine, f*** you too.
- djork, on 10/12/2007, -12/+8Seriously: who cares?
- briantech, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5Only 35 diggs and already on the front page... impressive.
- briantech, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5And more importantly, what happened to the story about digg fixing the front page that had 780 diggs, and was DIRECTLY beneath this story on the front page, half an hour ago?
On the front page 30 minutes ago... now its not.

What is Digg?
