    It's obviously whatever you chose to make of it.

  • ralphthemagi, on 06/22/2009, -2/+6The thing is that Twitter hasn't bothered trying to re-brand it's service. It started as a "micro-blogging" tool, and users quickly decided that was ***** stupid and started using it as a mulicast messenger service that, in many ways, has obsoleted SMS.

    It has notification support as well and hopefully in the future it'll allow you to comment on statuses
