Now, if I see a movie through torrents and think it's brilliant, I WILL go out and buy the DVD. I have a DVD binder that has upwards of 100 movies in it.
Sometimes I just play the movie while playing video games or doing research or something to have in the background. So I can half-watch it and see the interesting parts, but not fully pay attention because, frankly, it doesn't deserve my full attention usually.

At the theater near my house movie tickets are $9.50 a piece for college students. I'm not paying $19.00 (girl friend and I) to see a crappy movie. Especially when it will be for rent a few months later.

Killer puts victim into horrible device that is arbitrarily based off the victim's "sin" or whatever the *****. The victim can get out of said device, but they have to do something horrible like bite off their own arm to get free. And there is a very short time limit.
So, why do people watch these movies? To see gross ass deaths, right? So at this point the director has to make a decision about which death he will show... because, let's be honest, nobody wants to see the guy live or anything.
I can hear you asking, "But what if I wanted to see one death and saw the other instead? Then my giant blood boner will shrink down and I will be a sad panda..."
Aha! Has the director's formula got a treat for you, good sir! You see, the victim always whittles away most of their time freaking out or generally being useless. By the time they get their act together, they only have like 10 seconds to go, just enough time for them to do 95% of the horrible task needed to escape.
So the victim starts biting off their arm (or whatever the gross freedom granting alternative is) and is so close to being done, except... time's up! Then a bucket of piranhas (or whatever the gross death device is) gets dropped on the guys head and, wala, you get to see both deaths, you sick *****.
