- xcalybur, on 11/04/2008, -18/+188and this man isn't our next President? We are so screwed.
- Willravel, on 11/05/2008, -6/+162This Ron Paul guy is interesting. I'm surprised he hasn't come up on Digg before.
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -7/+151Ron Paul SHOULD have been the republican nominee!
- foontala, on 11/04/2008, -6/+99FTA, he's actually the highest scorer for tech friendly votes in both the senate (Sen. Maria Cantwell (WA): 81.82%) and the house (Rep. Ron Paul (TX): 88.24%)!
Go Ron Paul Go! - FreeTalkLIve, on 11/05/2008, -7/+81Ron Paul is the real hero in this whole election.
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -11/+81He would have made an excellent president, too... how the ***** did we end up with NObama and McSame? *****!
- madcat033, on 11/05/2008, -3/+66Ron Paul... I ***** love you bro. I am writing your name on my ballot in CA, and it will be counted. I wish you could have been president, the world would be a MUCH better place if every country was headed by a Ron Paul.
But thank you for inspiring me and so many others... this is just the beginning! - bizzywho, on 11/05/2008, -13/+71To all you Diggers who were previously FOR Ron Paul and then decided to vote for Obama, even after pontificating that the mainstream media that you hate so much, manipulated the American people into shielding Ron Paul:
SHAME ON YOU!
Lesser of two evils my ass.
Shame! SHAME! SHAME! - Sanderson9009, on 11/05/2008, -4/+61RON PAUL 2012
FOR THE SAKE OF THIS GREAT NATION - chickenloco, on 11/05/2008, -4/+56Ron Paul 2012? He is in great health. You never know.
- RevOxley501, on 11/04/2008, -12/+57I still love you Ron Paul
www.ragingrev.com - Acrinimiril, on 11/04/2008, -5/+49Dr. Know!
A green check means he voted favorably with regard to technology, i.e. freedom, no government regulation, privacy etc.
So, in the case of a bad bill, a green check means he voted against it. In the case of a good bill, a green check means he voted for it. - pdubya, on 11/04/2008, -2/+43NO INTERNET #2
- pathouston22, on 11/05/2008, -7/+48Too bad all you Obama-bots voted for Obama.

http://www.campaignforliberty.org - jsp123, on 11/05/2008, -0/+37tomorrow?
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -3/+39I wrote him in. Suck it dems.
- Acrinimiril, on 11/04/2008, -7/+40Whether you agree or disagree with Ron Paul and his strict support of the Constitution and freedom;
He does deserve some recognition for this - out of everyone at the Capitol, he's #1 when it comes to voting for technology.
I hope you'll agree and not only Digg, but spread the word, even if you disagree with him on other issues. - gaqua, on 11/05/2008, -1/+34SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
- goffy59, on 11/05/2008, -4/+36I did very well in my voting today:
1. I voted Ron Paul for president
2. I voted Libertarian on anything I could find
3. I wrote my name in whenever I only had a choice between democrat or republican
4. I didn't vote for any judges because lack of information
5. I voted no on all propositions in Arizona.
I practiced what I preach. I hope all of you can say the same.
Down with the 2 party system!
:) - Barackalypse, on 11/05/2008, -4/+35Most of them aren't interested in this form of progress. When they say progressive, they mean entitlements and social programs like universal health care. They could care less if we live in the dark ages, so long as CO2 emissions are low and there is income equality.
- vincebodie, on 11/04/2008, -6/+35savoy |səˈvoi| (also savoy cabbage):
*noun* - a cabbage of a hardy variety with densely wrinkled leaves.
ORIGIN late 16th cent.: from Savoy .
Sounds like McCain to me.
;-) - Acrinimiril, on 11/04/2008, -3/+32As stated on website:
"A green check signifies a tech-friendly vote; an X means a tech-unfriendly vote" - grantface, on 11/05/2008, -3/+32Voted for him.
- vtnerd, on 11/05/2008, -1/+29He'll take your guns and your money. At least you got the take part right. Vote 3rd party or stay home.
- GoneFishing, on 11/05/2008, -0/+28I penciled him in.
My friends said I just gave up my vote. I'd say I fulfilled my vote to the max. - akchrs, on 11/05/2008, -17/+45Thanks!! Another reason not to vote for Obama tomorrow.
Sen. John McCain (AZ): 38.46%
Sen. Barack Obama (IL): 33.33% - Adamlite, on 11/05/2008, -0/+27He's not going away because he didn't win the Republican nomination. He's still in office as a Representative in the House, in case your dumb ass forgot.
- bigfatphony19, on 11/05/2008, -6/+33RON PAUL OH EIGHT
- dsn0wman, on 11/04/2008, -13/+39I have allways supported McCain, but I would have never guessed that he was more tech savoy then Obama.
- Barackalypse, on 11/05/2008, -2/+28Yeah, because starting wars has been such a boom for our country.
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -3/+28I WROTE IN RON PAUL!!!!!!!!

- thrashertm, on 11/04/2008, -6/+26I doubt Slashdot will cover this, they are too in the tank for O'bama. Still, can someone submit it?
- gyrfalcon, on 11/05/2008, -0/+17If the idiots don't bother to read the article, they're surely not going to bother reading your comment.
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -1/+18"#5) This is all part of the plan to transition us over to Internet 2, which will be much more heavily restricted and controlled:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet2"
http://digg.com/tech_news/10_Reasons_Why_The_Golde ...
We must not let this happen. - truthteller426, on 11/05/2008, -0/+17I agree Ron Paul would have had a better chance than McCain. This election I voted for Bob Barr, even though I know he has no chance in Hell.
- 48snickers, on 11/05/2008, -0/+17Would be nice if CNET told us what "tech-friendly" meant.
For example- green check on "5. For the Real ID Act."
That means the green check translates to "AGAINST being 'FOR the Real ID Act'?"
(Everything I've read says Ron Paul is a strong opponent of Real ID)
Similarly, the green check on "2. To prohibit Internet gambling" means he's against Internet gambling right? http://www.gambling911.com/Ron-Paul-Internet-Gambl ... says he wants to legalize it.
Confusing. - jakereilly, on 11/05/2008, -0/+17You are defining freedom in your own terms just as you say Paul is.
What about the 'freedom' of the child? ohhhh....damn.....
It should be a state issue. Go read a book and learn his real stance, which makes sense.
buried for stupidity. - jamauss, on 11/05/2008, -2/+18INSERT INTO Presidents

DELETE FROM Nominees

sorry, fellow SQL nerd. - Ryan32, on 11/05/2008, -0/+16I was going to say the same thing... Paul believes this should be left up to the states, and not the government.
Which is constitutionally correct. - Hetman, on 11/05/2008, -4/+18It will not be this election, but eventually libertarians will get into the presidency. And maybe it will be before America is ruined by run away spending, and a huge federal government.
- BESTenemy, on 11/05/2008, -2/+16He's in great health, but our country isn't. Don't think it'll last till 2012.
- electrorocket, on 11/05/2008, -0/+14If they can "delete" online predators, they can delete anybody who's opinion might be different and threatening to the status quot.
- Barackalypse, on 11/05/2008, -5/+19But, but, I thought Obama was "progressive". This is what the term "progressive" should mean, supporting the technological progression of mankind toward greater enlightment and better living through technology. Instead its been co-opted to mean universal health care, other social entitlements, and odd forms of social justice. Dugg up for another sign Obama isn't the great savior many of you think he is.
- elnerdo, on 11/05/2008, -0/+14Terrible website. I wish I knew what 'tech friendly' really meant for all of them. I certainly know what I think about it, but CNet might think something different..
- thegrantman, on 11/05/2008, -0/+14Same here.
