they have a really ugly/useless website for a company trying to keep up with and slow down web2.0 - Rauby, on 05/29/2008, -3/+161Rev3 kick their fat asses!
- inactive, on 05/29/2008, -27/+158"you ***** with digg, you don't stand a chance"
If it were up to digg, we'd be:
Electing Ron Paul as president
Out of Iraq
Legally acquiring all music for free
Lynching McCain/Bush/Cheney/Hillary/O'Reilly/Jack Thompson
All Listening to Radiohead (who isn't that good, a-holes)
and Destroying the Church of Scientology.
How about instead of sitting on your ass at home logging on to digg, you start making molotov cocktails and accomplishing some of these goals? Don't buy into the illusion that you're making a difference by clicking the digg button, because you're not. - dssstrkl, on 05/29/2008, -0/+119Yet another vote to see Rev3 sue and prosecute Media Defender out of existence. Then maybe go after their masters.
- luchid, on 05/29/2008, -1/+108They did not just mess with digg the biggest possible source for a DDoS attack against them, did they?
Just saying... - Rocketman1882, on 05/29/2008, -1/+87Sue and buy G4!

- AManWithNoName, on 05/29/2008, -10/+78If you think I'm just "clicking the digg button" you're dead wrong. Here's some stuff I've been doing lately:
Voting for Obama and helping support his campaign in my local democratic party offices by volunteering time (I'm more for Obama than Ron, sorry)
Writing letters to my congressmen about most of your listed issues (Iraq, McCain, Thompson, etc...Not sure what else I can do in most of those issues since I'm pretty short on cash)
Donating money to Obama's campaign (I put aside at least 10 bucks out of every pay check)
Buying radiohead CD's (There are better bands, but they're still good enough to buy)
And I've taken part in two of the Scientology protests.
What have YOU done, jackass? Don't go assuming everyone else here is as lazy as you. Some of us are true activists. - AlKo, on 05/29/2008, -0/+57MediaDefender = oxymoron
- doogly, on 05/29/2008, -0/+54“Media Defender was abusing one of Revision3’s servers for their own purposes – quite without our approval. When we closed off their backdoor access, MediaDefender’s servers freaked out, and went into attack mode – much like how a petulant toddler will throw an epic tantrum if you take away an ill-gotten Oreo.” - Money Quote
- renegadeaven, on 05/29/2008, -2/+56Begun, the internet wars have.

- twtmc, on 05/29/2008, -1/+39I think the *chans are a slightly bigger force. Not necessarily by numbers of users, but by numbers of computers they can control.
- inactive, on 05/30/2008, -1/+37An open note to Kevin Rose,
On behalf of the millions of fans who have been affected by this outage, I for one would urge you to keep after the FBI to prosecute this case. Then I would urge you to file civil suits against Media Defender AND THEIR EMPLOYERS who have been responsible for this and countless other criminal acts. You are on the verge of being able to single handedly stop the senseless and illegal prosecution of thousands of individuals by this criminal consortium. I know the legal fees might add up, but there are a plethora of lawyers willing to fight these cases Pro Bono. Please help us all and help yourselves in this most important cause. - DanInAUSTRALIA, on 05/29/2008, -1/+35MediaDefender is gonna need a miracle to get them selves outta this one. I mean dont go trying to ***** up a good Internet television network like Revision3.
mediadefender needs to be dragged to the pits of hell and left there - geoken, on 05/29/2008, -2/+36I wish I could punch media defender in the face.
- UU7a, on 05/29/2008, -1/+32Can you guys grow a pair and actually sue them ?
That'd be a hell of a way to give back to the community which has supported you.
This is def. not something you can just let slide. - inactive, on 05/29/2008, -1/+30Ah hell no! I'm going to unleash the green thumb of fury on these fools!
- positron, on 05/30/2008, -5/+34Only scout masters do that.
- BlueSkyfish, on 05/30/2008, -0/+28The RIAA and MPAA are just scapegoat organizations. You should boycott the companies that compose them
MPAA:
1. The Walt Disney Company
2. Sony Pictures
3. Paramount Pictures Viacom
4. 20th Century Fox (News Corporation)
5. Universal Studios (NBC Universal)
6. Warner Bros. (Time Warner)
RIAA:
* EMI
* Sony BMG Music Entertainment
* Universal Music Group
* Warner Music Group
***** them. If you see any products made by those companies, don't buy them. If you're thinking about buying a movie, look on the back of the box first for the little MPAA logo. - amoirae, on 05/29/2008, -2/+30"You don't step on Kevin Rose's cape,
you don't piss into the wind.
You don't mess around with Alex Albrecht,
and you never ***** around with Digg..." - ScottDaMan, on 05/29/2008, -1/+23Real subtle there. On the down low.

- bullhead2007, on 05/29/2008, -2/+23Digg seems like an extension of the *chans these days. Might as well be a /digg board.
- shaggyb, on 05/29/2008, -1/+21I think the definition of irony in this case would be MediaDefender.com DoS ed into oblivion.
- mentor972, on 05/30/2008, -0/+20I hope Revision3 sues the crap out of em! Do it JIM!!!!!!!... Do it for us!!!!
- Tenoq, on 05/29/2008, -2/+21And MD responds...
1. Call buddies at RIAA/MPAA & associated entertainment companies.
2. Big media leans on sponsored congressmen and President.
3. Congressmen lean on FBI 'buddies'.
4. ???
5. Profit!
And we end up with the same old ***** again. - Bluezdood, on 05/30/2008, -0/+19Dude! That would be freaking amazing!

- PhantomRogue, on 05/29/2008, -8/+27You think the Lobbyists will let this thing go any further than an 'investigation'?
Love the move by Revision3... but its gonna go nowhere due to lobbyists and their cronies. - Daggity, on 05/29/2008, -1/+19Well, I accomplished my difference today by digging you up.
- thebrawl, on 05/29/2008, -1/+18MediaDefender? more like MediaEnder

- stevenbrown, on 05/30/2008, -0/+16I am offended that a company can break the law to stop another company from breaking another law without permission from anybody, and get away with it. Because they believe its right!
