- tdkyo, on 10/12/2007, -19/+99Fox News - Best entertainment you can ever have in cable television.
- somesthetic, on 10/12/2007, -6/+82so much yelling.
- rhizome, on 10/12/2007, -16/+90Which woman is supposed to be the crazy one? They're both nuts.
- thewebguy, on 10/12/2007, -6/+65John 3:17
"For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
it makes my blood boil to hear someone, in the name of Jesus, condemning people around them. the verse states that Jesus himself did not even come to condemn people and somehow this self-righteous lunatic thinks she has the right to condemn anyone?
my plea is that no diggers takes this woman seriously -- please take a read through a bible or a new testament if you want proof. there is not a single teaching of Jesus that suggests Christians should condemn anyone over anything.
this woman is not a Christian, she is not a leader, she is her own god and she has a dangerous following that believes her. - ani-pockdotnet, on 10/12/2007, -4/+61Wow, I didn't realize I was watching a news channel until the end. I thought it was one of those midday TV shows...
- JWood, on 10/12/2007, -9/+65Holy hell! That reporter sure did hand it to that woman.
- A2Ska, on 10/12/2007, -10/+62Wow, the first time I agree with Fox news.....someone shoot me...
- trooz1, on 10/12/2007, -8/+57Forget the religious aspect of her quoting of the Bible. As a reporter, she is quoting the very source that the crazy lady bases her claims off of, and is therefore trying to establish credibility. If the reporter was randomly spouting off Bible verses during an unrelated story, then yes, she is going off base. But in this case, it is being quoted to counter an argument that uses the same source as the basis of its claims. That, in my book, and in this case, is fine with me.
- cheeseron, on 10/12/2007, -20/+68That's the only time Fox News was ever good.
- Artifez, on 10/12/2007, -26/+64If you read the bible it says essentally everyone deserves to go to hell, for everything from petty theft to masturbation. It's a scare tactic to maintain social order in small communities without effective policing.
- 6pintsofbitter, on 10/12/2007, -23/+54Very unprofessional of the reporter to go off yelling and quoting the bible though, thats not what the news should be for...
- MacSpoofing, on 10/12/2007, -5/+34Fox shouldn't have given her a platform to speak on. Whats the reason to bring her on the show? She's a loon and a publicity whore, and Fox played right into her hands. So why do it? As someone mentioned, the sole reason was so that this particular interviewer can yell at her for a bit, and score some points with the audience. Totally irresponsible journalism.
- Vladk1000, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30Here's the first video for anyone who hasn't seen it:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=GPzpsnROtSc - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+31Honestly, both of them sounded like complete idiots.
- ArcaneEsoteric, on 10/12/2007, -3/+30Both people were condemning each other to hell-- I long for the days of civilized debate.
- KissTheRing, on 10/12/2007, -8/+32People like her should never be given voice by being put on television, but I guess it makes for good ratings. It's all about profit, public radio news may be a bit on the borring side but at least it doesn't have these theatrics.
- Strangers, on 10/12/2007, -3/+25It's funny, because she's attacking Fox from the right.
I still don't have a clue what she stands for though. - xedd, on 10/12/2007, -9/+29Today in America, this sort of yelling is considered to be a "news interview"...
And the moronic nonsense they spout at each other is considered to be "spiritual" and/or "religious".
The sad thing is that more serious news organizations in the USA are now following the FoxNews lead, and are producing or intend to produce similar crap.
It's like America is going insane. - Dradis, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23"You want to preach? Let's Preach." *DING DING, ROUND 1*
- madcrasher, on 10/12/2007, -13/+32Yeah, everyone deserves to go to Hell. That's why there's Jesus. "For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through him."
Contrary to popular propaganda, there's more to the Bible than "do this, do that, or you're going to Hell." - ramsinks.com, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20"God is your enemy".
"God hates you".
pfft.. sad confused church.
It's evident they never accually read the Bible. - twiztedambience, on 10/12/2007, -14/+32i could care less if you believe this woman deserves it or not. If someone calls themself a journalist, they have absolutely NO RIGHT to act like that when talking to someone. Let the woman talk for herself without interjecting personal views before she can even speak. Ask questions but leave your opinion, or your percieved opinion of what people would say, out of the picture.
An absolute mockery of journalism and an insanely biased message on both sides of the screen. If fox news really was a decent journalistic endeavor, that journalist should be FIRED.
Further proof how fox news sucks. As a conservative myself, I still cannot see how anybody would watch that junk. - elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+21YOU SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED THAT YOU TYPED YOUR COMMENT IN ALL CAPS!
- snapcase, on 10/12/2007, -10/+27Yup, that's one crazy bitch. Good arguments made by the news person though. They never should have let that psycho on tv though.
- CharlesDarwin, on 10/12/2007, -23/+40I love fox news. When I need a good laugh, I just flip over to the oreilly factor. I can't believe that some people take this ***** seriously though...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -12/+28The reporter has a screw loose too. She egged her on from the beginning of the report.
- RadiantBeing, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17The best way to discredit ***** is to let them do it themselves. Free speech works.
- davidirock, on 10/12/2007, -17/+32There is a New Testimate to the Bible where God sends His son to save us from that. You just got to keep reading.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+20I dont really think responsible journalism has ever been Fox News forte.
- lordsandwich, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16"Why even waste the time beating down someone nobody pays attention to?"
Because this woman went to a funeral to ridicule a dead person. A fallen soldier at that. She deserves a smackdown no matter who delivers it. - chad78, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15lol, I thought she was going to say "You wanna preach? Let's preach, Bitch!" I mean, that was the tone in her voice.
Just so you know, this woman (the lady from the "church") does not in anyway represent most Christians, or even most Baptists. This woman is out of her mind, and so is her teaching. - npiv, on 10/12/2007, -14/+28It's interesting that FOX finally gives somebody the third degree instead of the usual puppet dance.
The reporter wasn't very professional but extremism in their own ranks (catholic teachings) probably drove them to it.
It would be nice to see them take on some government officials in this manner :) - dapinoyba, on 10/12/2007, -11/+25only because she deserved it
- RandomSkratch, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17Up next on Fox: The crazy cat lady presents her views on global warming.
"Blahw bhyyea alabfy dbaywal yhlabsly elfbyha" *throws cat* "keaay bre ylleay tlof...." - xswag, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16These people are not Christians. They just use the name for their own twisted purposes.
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16Loud NOISES!
- kimastergeorge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Exactly. It was all, "You're bad!" "No, you see, you're bad, you don't get it." "But you're not nice when you go protest these funerals." "We're just trying to tell you that you're stupid."
It gets nowhere.
What they should argue is not the safe, American-values argument that they're disrupting a funeral of a soldier, but argue that, clearly, God isn't on their side, since, if God really wanted us to forbid homosexuality, he would have killed them all--or simply not created them--in the first place. That's an argument that I'd like to see her counter. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+14You make an interesting point, but I think I have a better one:
News organizations should not give equal time to fringe lunatics and cult leaders to air their views out to the public. Yeah, you may think it's some kind of supression of speech, but I believe people like this contribute NOTHING to any debate on any topic and frankly don't deserve to be heard.
Yes, they can go ahead and SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES somewhere, but for a news organization to actually go out of their way and supply them with a CAMERA and a SOAP BOX to air these views? Completely irresponsible, insane, and disgusting.
I don't think any major news organization has EVER done this before Fox News. They just LOVE giving the microphone to the lunatics to help them spread their message of hate. They do this all the time because it's apparently "good TV". Well, it disgusts me. I couldn't bare to watch this all the way through. - elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12Civilized debate is impossible with people who are so undeniably crazy.
- squeevey, on 10/12/2007, -14/+24I agree. The reporter would have done better to not argue like that. I didn't get anything from it. In fact I thought the reporter was crazy.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12http://www.godhatesfags.com/
bring it to it's knees, if they can hack MS France this should be no problem - geronimo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I bet she's crazy in the sack.
- mattyG, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Heres another video/digg story where they almost get killed
http://digg.com/links/God_Hates_Fags_People_Get_Dealt_With - verse101, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13That reporter was hot. Totally had nerves of steel. Sexy.
- TechnoGuyRob, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12@MacSpoofing
You made a typo. It's "Church", not Church. - kakeeman, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11I totally disagree with the crazy lady and the whole psychotic church her husband heads (which, I think, only has about 40 members), but this is an obvious media ploy. There's really no reason to put her on TV other than to make the reporter look like a hero by defending common sense and Americana or whatever. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. I don't care what news station you like or where you fall in the political spectrum, it's an obvious marketing strategy and it's pretty lame. It's sad that the struggle for the TV news market share has demeaned reporting to this kind of sensationalist garbage.
- rhizome, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13Get real, someone who says god hates fags and thinks 9/11 was good is not going to have an effect against the patriotism in the US. Why even waste the time beating down someone nobody pays attention to?
I dare someone to name a smaller minority than these people. - pdawg90, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Yes, very unprofessional.
It would have been much more berating for the crazy lady if the reporter had kept her head. - TruthElixirX, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10And then he says, no one can follow them. Thats why he had to die. You can't quote half of stuff.
- skyhighrockets, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Someone really needs to DDOS their websites.
