"GET THE ***** OUT OF THIS OFFICE YOU PIECE OF *****!" - pika2000, on 02/28/2009, -1/+941. Lay-off people.
2. Blame it on piracy.
3. Collude with friends at the white house to pass law(s) that only benefits own outdated business model in the name of protecting the children

5. Profit! - GeorgeWKush, on 02/28/2009, -1/+75When the RIAA has been eating their own feet for this long, I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner.
- inactive, on 02/28/2009, -5/+73Looks like the RIAA employees will have to do some REAL work for a change. Do you want fries with that?
- kimonokiller, on 02/28/2009, -3/+65Aww poor RIAA.
</sarcasm> - theDarkGamer, on 02/28/2009, -4/+66And the internet danced on the RIAA's grave shouting "Hallelujah!"
- theDarkGamer, on 02/28/2009, -1/+46Hopefully they'll find work doing something other than harassing citizens for sharing information.
- ralphthemagi, on 02/28/2009, -6/+41Hey there MrBabyMan. I see you submitted an article to Digg.com. What's up with that?
- imakeholesinu, on 02/28/2009, -1/+35The RIAA is dead, long live the Pirates Bay!
- DirtyVicar, on 02/28/2009, -1/+35Sadly it will probably be the executives and attorneys who keep their jobs or depart with nice severance packages.
- imgeddylee, on 02/28/2009, -4/+29***** YOU KANYE!!!
- billraydrums, on 02/28/2009, -0/+24After ***** artists for 60+ years, it's about time that they go away.
Frank Zappa would be crying, he'd be so happy. - bdbr, on 02/28/2009, -0/+24It looks like the RIAA has ***** themselves.
- binaryloop, on 02/28/2009, -4/+27They won't find any sympathy from me. I hope they all rot in hell.
- Chompy, on 02/28/2009, -0/+22I can't really muster much sympathy for people who worked for such an evil, misguided dinosaur. They knew what they were doing.
- Cojafoji, on 02/28/2009, -2/+22That's what you get when you work for the devil. Enjoy unemployment *****.
- duggdowncatisad, on 02/28/2009, -1/+20HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
- Travelsonic, on 02/28/2009, -0/+17", because everyone who works at the RIAA goes after copyright violaters!... If you didn't steal music, "
You stated it yourself, he doesn't.
Infringement is infringement, theft is theft.
Even so, not liking the industry does not mean he supports piracy. This is an idiotic, baseless, and ignorant assertion.
"Enjoy your (pirated) music."
Assume much? - jamauss, on 02/28/2009, -3/+19Good job RIAA! Way to keep up with the times and blaze the trail down the path of digital music.
- DorXtar, on 02/28/2009, -2/+18YAAAAARRRR!!! MOBY DICK BE BLEEDING LIVER BLOOD!!!
- TonyTheTerrible, on 02/28/2009, -4/+19this is one babyman story im willing to digg!

- theonlywizdum, on 02/28/2009, -0/+15I will, thanks pat. *Turns up the volume.
- Sechy, on 02/28/2009, -0/+14Now that they do not have jobs they will need to download their music.
- lunchington, on 02/28/2009, -0/+14I'm surprised they're merging with a international company. What jurisdiction will they have to harass Americans me wonders??
- Mistaxe, on 02/28/2009, -0/+12*****, we don't want the people at the bottom to be fired. Cut off the head of the serpent!
- bdbr, on 02/28/2009, -0/+12I'm sure they'll find someone to sue, over something.
- Decimit, on 02/28/2009, -2/+14@Rawclyce
"It's sad the nazi training camp got shut down. Not everyone there was killing jews. People need their careers."
Ok, I know I took the cheap shot and compared something to the nazis, but for this point I think it was accurate. No one likes to loose a job, but there are times when the job needs to be removed. The individual worker might not have been going around doing these horrible things, but then again, isn't that the classic argument? "I was just following orders".
Sometimes people can't choose where they work. McDonalds probably employs lots of people that had to work there by default, but some place like the RIAA is not a position such as that. They chose to work there knowing what their company does. - Nerys, on 02/28/2009, -0/+11God I hope they just DIE and whither away as a foot note in our history.
Give the power BACK to the artists. - venom8599, on 02/28/2009, -3/+13Say hi to your mother for me.
- ajv570, on 02/28/2009, -2/+11You Sir win one internet
- muuhgnoo, on 02/28/2009, -2/+10Their careers are based on censorship. Their whole purpose was to buy even tougher censorshp laws and to prevent people from sharing information.
They are a guild that practically enacted a prohibition of using computers and computer networks for self-made copying so they can still make money by selling their "official" physical copies like they did in the 50's.
I mean, how retarded do you have to be to base your whole career on a unnatural, for-profit prohibition scheme? It's as dumb as saying the alcohol prohibition should never have been repealed because somebodys careers hung were based upon it. - publiclurker, on 02/28/2009, -0/+8That doesn't stop them from collecting their severance packages, however.
- borschwanger, on 02/28/2009, -0/+8(NO) sympathy for the devil
- S1ngular1ty1, on 02/28/2009, -0/+8IT'S ABOUT TIME !
- acegi, on 02/28/2009, -1/+9i hope the CEO fires everyone except himself and then commit suicide with a dildo and a firecracker.
how to kill himself using those items is totally up to him. - Nenros, on 02/28/2009, -0/+8The RIAA is funded by the record companies, they are to blame for its behavior.
- burden555, on 02/28/2009, -3/+10Good.
- muuhgnoo, on 02/28/2009, -2/+9Dude, get another job, maybe a honest one, which isnt based on for-profit censorship of free information flow.
How retarded does someone have to be to base all his work on the existance of a law that prohibits communication between people and their use of computers?
Sharing is caring. If I like something, i WILL ***** SHARE it with people i like, theres no law on earth which will prevent me from doing that. - jmhyer51, on 02/28/2009, -2/+9YES!! Let it burn! Let it all burn!!
- blacklilyninja, on 02/28/2009, -0/+7i hope its the lawyers that get the boot first
- atruevoice, on 02/28/2009, -0/+7Probably the best silver lining of the financial crisis cloud ever!
- Travelsonic, on 02/28/2009, -0/+7I think you forgot the sarcasm tag.
- fknrat, on 02/28/2009, -10/+16It's never funny if someone loses their job. Hope those people find work, but the RIAA gets whats coming to them for being psychopaths.
- hauntedchippy, on 02/28/2009, -1/+7JUSTICE
- inactive, on 02/28/2009, -1/+6Why are people digging you down? Are there really that many stupid people out there who either (1) didn't realize your first sentence was sarcasm or (2) actually disagree with the second sentence?
Usually the guys who get laid off are not the ***** making the decisions who brought the company into trouble to begin with. - canthraxp, on 02/28/2009, -0/+5Step 4 is suing the crap of everything that can breath (including Aerobic bacteria).
- realunderdog, on 02/28/2009, -10/+15The RIAA is a combination in restraint of trade.
