- CaseyUCF, on 10/12/2007, -0/+29it's sooooo trendy to drop the vowel and make your r pink these days.
- michaelbeckham, on 10/12/2007, -3/+21God, I am sick of these flickr imitating names and domains.
This was submitted nearly a month ago too! WTF? - vagarach, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Lack of the final vowel is the first requirement on web2.0! Do not underestimate the power of getting your audience to fully understand your hipness and lack of concern for English as a language!
- Eyeooga, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Where's the privacy policy for this site? I don't see a link to it.
- arunforce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9They saved money by using a Web 2.0 generator instead of hiring a webdesigner. =)
- xerus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Hey c'mon now... I mean, the website looks like it was created by a Web 2.0 Cliche Generator, but cut them some slack, they're saving you money ;D
- Nick22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Sweet, way to take one from flickr (and others) by dropping a letter from the name.
- drewhenson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4This seems a lot like another article posted here that linked to this site: http://www.refundplease.com/
- IRbaboon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3At least it is out of beta.
- oskite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2dgg?
- punkrockxtian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wow that made it to the front page so fast...
- kronicoutkast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Doesn't work very well, great idea however..This is think link to the Canon Rebel XTi I just bought.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7989901&type=product&productCategoryId=pcmcat99300050011&id=1155069748336
Copy and paste it into the site, it thinks its a CF Card - mfelkins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2So what if it's a standard Web 2.0 site? If it helps saves you $15, thats $15 you didn't have before. And it's ad free and simple enough for my grandma to use.
- DigeratiPrime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2looks like they only need an email address, those are not hard to get. ;)
- ThomW, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2RefundPlease only works with Amazon.com
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Great idea, how do they monetize it? I see no ads. In fact, the model is set up in such a way that I spend no time on the site, so ads are moot. I did a test with a DVD player from Best Buy. It parsed everything properly, but I've yet to receive an email. Are they planning to sell my email address? I suppose they could track purchasing trends and sell that information to spammers. Good thing I used a ***** gmail account.
- standmatt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not bad coding though, it will even get the price of something (at least on amazon) that you have to add to the shopping cart before you can see the real price
- ray023, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Eyeooga
Didn't you see the promise on the front page?!?
"We promise not to spam you...."
There you have it. Now give them your prized, personal e-mail address to enjoy all those savings. - CaseyUCF, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1wtf? where r teh drop shadows?
- AnteChronos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1V00D00M0NKY, I think you're misunderstanding what the linked site is for. It's for when you purchase something, and they drop *their own* price. Most stores will allow you to get a refund for the difference if they drop the price of an item within 30 days of your purchase.
- haydesigner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I agree with you, but try to use the *correct* reply link next time.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Notice that there isn't a privacy policy?
- HanSolo69, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1this was submitted 24 days ago. wtf?
- V00D00M0NKY, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I know that these places were just asking for this by making these "we'll beat any price" policies but honestly i think this takes it too far...
- geezusfreeek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I closed the tab immediately upon seeing how much this REEKS of Web 2.0.
- Arthere, on 09/13/2008, -0/+0Sounds like a good idea http://www.creditcardassociate.com/target.html
- hallofriend, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not bad. Not too good either.
No use for me if they could only save me $0.95...
Better save my time. - addrake, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2First thing I noticed too. Marked as spam or e-mail phishing.
- flazz, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2smells like spam, and i didn't even read the article yet
- Talus, on 10/12/2007, -12/+5Man, I must have price protected about 6 items over the Holidays. I think I saved over $700 in total. Having a service like this just makes it all the easier.
- omnipotus, on 10/12/2007, -12/+4Nice going Dave! I'm doing a lot of holiday shopping on-line, this seems very cool.
- calmebob, on 10/12/2007, -11/+3Nice! This is an excellent piece of my online shopping arsenal, especially as after christmas discounts are right around the corner.
