- yourfavweapn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Looks just like the personalized google homepage you can get.
- Karmalary, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Dugg! Pageflakes goes into my #1 homepage slot for now. The RSS reader was what I was waiting for.
- Cimlite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Abusive" or not... I agree with you.
Pageflakes, Netvibes and Google homepage seem to be based of the exact same mold. I'm not even sure who's trying to copy who, they pretty much get the same feature only days after each other.
Not putting Pakeflakes down, or any other the other sites, personally I'm just happy these services exist for free. - Justinpirate, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I am so stuck on netvibes but I am glad to see other pages like this. Keep up the good work pageflakes.
- versionist, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Um, maybe it is Safari that is the problem.
- adame, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I apologize for that abusive remark. After trying it for a few minutes it's actually pretty cool. I'm a long-time Netvibes user, it's good to finally see some decent competition.
- edaimler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Switched from Netvibes to Pageflakes. The social component to their site is what makes this a much more interesting vantage point to the future. There are *far* more flakes/widgets available now than there were just a few months ago.
- rEvolution3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I've been waiting for this program since DHTML.. probably won't use it.
- sourceforge, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I was introduced to this public page by my teacher:
http://student.pageflakes.com/
Pretty cool tool for students. - mmalloy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The video flake in particular is very cool! It is front and center on my home page. Like others have said, the new flakes keep coming. That's the thing that I'm diggin'.
- devteam, on 06/24/2008, -0/+0hi, we have a light-weight personal portal page http://www.HomePageForMe.com The tool is simple and efficient for your daily browsing. It groups your favorite links in colorful boxes, has RSS news feeds, a free personal web site, multiple web search and map search tool, and bookmark toolbar for easy bookmarking. Take a look at it and let us know if you like it or not. Thanks.
- hmmartin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm impressed by how quickly pageflakes is creating new widgets. I've been using this as a homepage for a while. I realize, though, that it's more like a homebook. I can access a lot of my work and research by simply clicking on one of my pages. It's made my world a lot easier. Go Pageflakes!
- Takuro, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1it's not compatible with the Safari browser yet.
First the new Yahoo.com and now this... *sigh* - dave91, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is great! I'm digging PageFlakes right now.
- adame, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Where have I seen this design before? Netvibes, anyone?
- robinswi, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2does ntvibes have anydesign !! netvibes seemed like a plain pain page 2 me. moreover i dont like to see so many errors when i just start using something. pageflakes seemed lot smoother. so far pageflakes seems lot more useful than others.
- f00xx0riz3r, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1A widget that searches youtube for a keyword. When will these guys stop innovate?! Im going all dizzy. Fantastic, marvelous, awesome.
I particulary LOVE the external link feature on their flickr-widgets. Seeing photos that takes me to external websites is all I've ever dreamt on for my personal starting page. - myalansky, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0@yourfavweapn: au contraire mon frere...much different and better than google...can you get a public death metal page on Google? - http://www.pageflakes.com/humansludge.ashx?page=9786617
