- h3110, on 11/23/2008, -0/+16Look how similar the post is to gizmodo:

Not only are they sitting on the same column of seats, their list of 10 things are pretty much the same too. And they both have a mustache and beard.
But there is one difference. Brian Lam from Gizmodo is flying at 15,000 ft and Engadget is flying at 35,000 ft. - ishkabum, on 11/23/2008, -0/+14or in the case of Toshiba-owners, 7 minutes.
- whosmatt, on 11/23/2008, -0/+13my email is in that cloud
- ThatGeek, on 11/23/2008, -1/+12damn, now i cant ever get away from digg and facebook
- DanielShinall, on 11/23/2008, -4/+12GoGo inflight internet!
- diggit08, on 11/23/2008, -2/+10Just thinking of all those people with access to porn flying over my head sends a shiver down my spine.
- fakekevinrose, on 11/23/2008, -0/+8I like that, Jimid's comment was so stupid that you wouldn't even dignify him with correct spelling.
- Maxmaxxwell, on 11/23/2008, -0/+7y?
- MrMysterious, on 11/23/2008, -0/+6Wow, and they actually price it a reasonable $10/13 depending on length. Coincidentally, this is more than it costs to bring a checked bag on most planes. It's also about the cost of two beers on the plane.
Now what to do about battery power on flights greater than about 3 hours. - ElectricKetchup, on 11/24/2008, -0/+5not everyone has window seat
- Farmer77, on 11/23/2008, -1/+5Nah, I rather be commenting on Digg.
- FastZ, on 11/23/2008, -1/+5Dugg for the wifi waves.
- inactive, on 11/23/2008, -2/+6Wifi everywhere now! I love it!
- Cglass, on 11/23/2008, -0/+4Not sure why people are digging you down, this is what I was thinking exactly. ;)
- mattus, on 11/23/2008, -0/+4I think the pricing's pretty good. At the airport the other day I tried to log onto a T-Mobile hotspot, but they wanted 8 euros (about $10) for an hour's internet access. So if the Wi-Fi on the plane is cheaper than it is on the ground, they must be doing something right.
- idiosyncrisia, on 11/23/2008, -1/+510-13 dollars is a pretty decent price as well. I'll be using this on my trip across the pond this January =D

- vpshockwave, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3Buried for "podcatcher"
- ds143, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3CUZ!
- Osirus1156, on 11/23/2008, -0/+3Wow compared to using an Airlines phone that's damn cheap.
- LanceUppercut, on 11/23/2008, -0/+3YO DAWG I HERD YOU LIKED..
nevermind. - borez, on 11/23/2008, -0/+3Interesting, their land based service ( here in the UK ) is a pile of *****, especially with bittorrent and the awful traffic shaping and bottlenecking at peak hours, quite suprised this actually works OK.
- ralphthemagi, on 11/23/2008, -0/+3Virgin has an outlet at every seat.
- Laughingman42, on 11/23/2008, -0/+2This is the first thing I thought of when I saw this on the front page, people talking about Lam writing 15k in those comments when he was on the front page.
- seaner, on 11/23/2008, -0/+2$10/$13 seems steep when you consider it probably will block streaming videos, video chat, big downloading from torrents. Then again if was on a long flight right now and saw I could get internet for $13, I'd be all over that!
- larthallor, on 11/23/2008, -0/+2WiFi access AND dancing bikini-clad women? I'm there!

What? Oh. Well, I guess wifi alone is better than nothing. Still, it would have been nice. - dbradman56, on 02/26/2009, -0/+1cool stuff :)

http://talismanclick.com - gubatron2, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1but... can you plug your laptop's power adapter in the plane?
It'd be funny if they're offering wifi, but no place to hook up your power adapter, I always find the lack of sockets very annoying.
Can't wait for 24 hour lasting batteries. - fsweep, on 11/23/2008, -0/+1What is the big deal? I used inflight wifi on a Lufthansa flight two years ago. They ended up pulling the service because the equipment was too heavy, and they were losing money on the extra fuel. I (had a row to myself, and) could skype out with no problems.
- DatruKatalyst, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1Virgin has outlets for every seat.
- juusux, on 11/24/2008, -1/+2He's "posting this at altitude."? Um.... ok? there's something missing there, like what his altitude is? you could be at sea level with an altitude of 0, posting articles "at altitude."

- benologist, on 11/23/2008, -3/+3gdgt is a failure... so take as long a break as you want.

- cgomez, on 11/23/2008, -3/+3gdgt hasn't launched. It's currently a podcast, you know, a thing where you subscribe and are updated through a podcatcher rather than a browser.
Troll for Nick Denton elsewhere. - TheJimid, on 11/23/2008, -16/+2Now if only a crazy English guy didn't own the plane.
