- SPThom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Problem with Odeo is that it was a nice looking, richly-coded website that was totally useless.
- kenvsryu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10I love double stuffed Odeo and milk.
- PoVRAZOR, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Clever company name, Obvious Corp. Gold star for that.
- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -1/+65 million for a website. wow.
I start with the $30 hosting and work up from there. I must be doing something really wrong. - chrisrad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4so you'd just digg it without reading the article? either way, a techcrunch article on digg is the same as reading it on techcrunch.
- Egoist, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I am so overwhelmed with apathy that I can't even bother to click the link to find out what the hell Odeo is.
Seriously, not every dotcom bust is newsworthy. - Dested, on 10/12/2007, -7/+10Who?
They raised 5million dollars in venture capital. ITS A ***** WEBSITE. YOU KNOW WHAT I COULD WRITE WITH 5 MILLION DOLLARS AT MY DISPOSAL? - sjalloul, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Good business concept! I am sure they can pull it off, especially with all the hype with podcasts, blogs...etc
- uptown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Odeo was slow to launch, and they allowed Apple to get their ***** together with regard to podcasts..... they missed the boat.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Too bad, we'll have to look elsewhere for the YouTube of podcasting.
PS, as a podcast junkie I did use them along with others. - allenu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Yeah, I hate to say it, but I was hoping it would fail the first time I saw it. It was just too "we're gonna revolutionize the world with podcasts, yeah!" First do something useful, then hype it up.
- n8f8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Crap I got my hopes up for a minute that they meant Odie was dead.
http://images.google.com/images?q=odie - tradingbrowsers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Seems there are just too many people and groups out there dying to invest in something - perhaps to bring back the good old days of the dotcom boom? I see it every month or so where I work. Kind of hard to tell if those who don't believe in an idea/site don't because of the wakeup call given by the big bust a few years back or because the idea/site simply doesn't have legs.
- Rudrasksha, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1NO. I just got into Odeo a few days ago and love it. (although from the previous comments, maybe i am alone in that.)
- mockboard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Nice one Biz!
- zonk3r, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The funny thing is that Evan (not Even which is the opposite of Odd) Williams aka "EvHead" is the founder of Blogger which made it big when they were bought by Google. Success is not always guaranteed.
- Axim, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2durrrrr
- kidhero, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1Why must every TechCrunch story be on digg? Why? Why? Why?
- kidhero, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2If anything, idiot, that's exactly the reason why the company isn't worth that much. All hype and no substance.
- flexyble, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1i would rather dugg it cos i hate to see that fkin techcrunch. They are damn biased, all they write is worthless *****.
