It uses an old cliche of not intelligent tech girls, like implying that girly/feminine is stupid, not "tech" worthy. There are some girl techies that are equal or more intelligent than the avarage male techie... even as a male I don't really feel sympathy for someone that uses the color pink (as implying girly) as a joke in a supposedly male-only worthy tech world. I guess I'm part of the 1.7% of girls that avoided the site. Hopefully though Slashdot will change it's color permanetly although preferabbly not pink but a nicer shade of green or at least blue.
