Oh, wait. - lazycat, on 05/09/2009, -0/+8Try entering a search request in a foreign language - it's stumbles (no results).
- ajasver, on 05/09/2009, -0/+7Hey Lazycat, We're working on better foreign language support at the moment.
- str3ama, on 05/09/2009, -0/+7dugg for not calling itself the "Google Killer"...
- collution, on 05/09/2009, -0/+7If you search for topics that aren't broad, it usually fails miserably.
- mattsull, on 05/09/2009, -0/+6I hate this
- GreenNoise, on 05/09/2009, -0/+6This might end up like cuil.
- DecoyQ, on 05/09/2009, -2/+7Real time my ass.. this is worse than the old yahoo or ask jeeves search. Google > all
BURIED. - tek69, on 05/09/2009, -1/+5searched for my twitter name, got nothing
made a tweet about scoopler.
tried again, mine didn't pop up but alot of others did and many were under the minute mark. still haven't seen mine yet so I'm now sure how all encompassing the engine is. - lazycat, on 05/09/2009, -0/+4Great! Can I expect your search engine to become as good as the one Neo used in Matrix? :)
- ajasver, on 05/09/2009, -0/+3We don't get every single Tweet but instead try to filter to give you a stream of what's going on. We're constantly working on improving our filters to get find the best stuff.
- nickbottomley, on 05/09/2009, -0/+3No but I guess there should have been the precursor that I was stoned out of my mind when I wrote that and I also forgot I had something typed in the search field as the instant results were scrolling by haha
- PinkyTheWinky, on 05/09/2009, -0/+2* Yaaaaaaaaawn *
- Bidofthis, on 05/09/2009, -0/+2Pooper Scoopler 504 Gateway Time-out
nginx/0.5.33 - inactive, on 05/09/2009, -0/+2Wow, it even handles bandwidth in real time... like "waiting in line at the bank" real time
- usuallymark, on 05/09/2009, -0/+2"might"?
- lazycat, on 05/09/2009, -1/+3What the hell does that mean?
- BrianSaysHi, on 05/09/2009, -0/+2From what I see, it searches Twitter. Sorry Scoopler you got beaten to it
http://search.twitter.com/ - triple110, on 05/09/2009, -0/+2I agree. I did a search for "Airwolf". Nothing came up. Not one single reference to Airwolf. The only thing that kept coming up is "Microsoft, Zuma, Omama, Star Trek and T-Mobile.
The whole point to a search engines is to find things you are looking for, not find things that other people are looking for.
This is crap - SmellyGeekBoy, on 05/09/2009, -0/+1As an epic failure?
- ajasver, on 05/09/2009, -0/+1Hi Bidofthis,
We're really sorry about the down time you experienced this Morning. We've fixed it now so if you want to give another try, head on over. - sunamc, on 05/09/2009, -1/+2people can already stalk other people online ;-\
- Sheethappens, on 05/09/2009, -0/+1Couldnt really find anything much about any of the searches I did so I entered "Scoopler" on it (no quotes) and was relieved to find that it finds a LOT of stuff about itself.
So rest easy, all. If you want to know all about Scooper, Scoopler can help!
....not sure what else good it is, though..... - nexmachina, on 05/11/2009, -0/+1All it's doing is crawling news sites, and social networks. FAIL!
- enrico, on 05/09/2009, -1/+2do you work for them?
- DaviDTC, on 05/09/2009, -0/+1Already better than cuil.
- tre3rd, on 05/09/2009, -0/+1its so easy to spit venom on the interwebs. Watev I like it.
stay thirsty my friends - mine4321, on 05/09/2009, -0/+1It has already crashed.... how, uh, robust.
- tek69, on 05/09/2009, -1/+2It's interesting. it's getting easier and easier to be the fly on the wall.
- nickbottomley, on 05/09/2009, -2/+2This is amazing, to me it's sort of like sitting on a bench in a big city and being able to see and hear every thought/conversation/event that's going on around you, except for it's the internet community instead. Cataloging the results would sort of be like taking a walk through the pop internet culture of the day.
- lembergm, on 08/02/2009, -0/+0there's another real-time search engine but it's for local shopping http://milo.com/
It shows you what's on the shelves of your local stores right now
featured in Lifehacker:
