Wish digg would fix this because I'm really looking forward to this widget. - praveenmarkandu, on 10/11/2007, -0/+79ah... the two greatest ways to waste time are now merging. too bad it doesnt work. yet
- BritishGolgo13, on 10/11/2007, -6/+72@zigman
I dugg you down because you had myspace open in a tab. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+68@dweeb79
So my college is going to see that I watch Mythbusters and Borat? Oh noes! - tidu, on 10/11/2007, -5/+66"digg me down i want to see what happens"
Dude, I got dugg down once, and it was not easy getting back. The constant phone calls from "them" kept me awake all night. And during the day, I had to explain to my kids why people were calling asking for "diggs." You never want to see that look on a child's face. I had to make other comments to make up for the one that was dugg down, which took months of agonizing work at little pay (2-3diggs/hr)... I'd definately watch what you spend your diggs on, you won't regret making a comment ever again. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+48This should rock once it works. Can't wait.

It's only a problem if your stupid enough to post pictures of you getting wasted the weekend before on there.
And facebook is as private as you want it to be. Yes employers have access to it but just don't be stupid with info and pictures you put onto it. - Lax32, on 10/11/2007, -0/+29I think its cool that they are doing this with digg, but it makes me think about what a slippery slope the introduction of little apps inside facebook creates.
I REALLY dont want facebook to become myspace with thousands of useless (and often times broken) things on peoples pages. - Satertek, on 10/11/2007, -0/+251000 diggs for something that hasn't ever worked.
Gotta be a first. - killerofkiller, on 10/11/2007, -2/+26@ zigman

- javvidal, on 10/11/2007, -4/+24Simply fix, and I will digg :)
- woojoo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21Love the new apps from the Facebook Platform. I'm only hoping that it doesn't turn into the next Myspace.

Employers and schools use facebook for reference.
Want to see if your employer does?
Search for it here: http://hs.facebook.com/networks/networks.php?view=companies
Can I remind you about the woman denied a teaching degree because of a myspace photo?
http://digg.com/offbeat_news/Woman_Denied_Teaching_Degree_Because_of_MySpace_Photo
I know for a fact that my mom when she hires teachers at her school checks myspace and facebook to see anything she can bring up about a possible employee.
But you are right about having a profile gives up your privacy. - standsolid, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18Definitely worth three exclamation points!!! So ***** exciting!!!
- reb42, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17Now people on a time-wasting site will be able to see how much time I also waste elsewhere... great...
- p0tent1al, on 10/11/2007, -25/+41@ dweeb79
You know the 1 thing I hate about Digg? Whenever I read a stories comments, inevitably I see someone post an idiotic comment, and then I have to waste a couple of minutes of my life making said commenter feel stupid.
1.Employers use these sites for reference? Since when?
2. How the hell are they going to find your profile even if they wanted to? I'll tell you what. Drop me your e-mail, I'll give you my name, and we'll see if you can find my myspace profile.
3. Having a profile on MySpace and Facebook != not caring about privacy.
4. Although Myspace may be lame, Facebook is not.
5. Even if they do find your profile, whats to say it has a negative impact on a employers decision (and that's if said employer BOTHERS to take the time to search for it, let alone find it, let alone they even KNOW what facebook is). You know, not everyone on facebook and myspace have untasteful profiles. Way to stereotype buddy. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+20Where are those digg nerds to fix it?...Lol
- JoeJacobs, on 10/11/2007, -2/+15Wow, facebook is becoming more amazing by the minute.
- blumph, on 10/11/2007, -2/+15a handful of vista stories get dugg :P
- smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13facebook, along with last.fm, are seriously two of the best sites demonstrating well executed implementations of Web 2.0 concepts. this is a pretty cool development.
- meepus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13I like that reddit has nested commenting, and I like that you get notified of replies to your comments. I've had actual conversations on reddit that don't involve meticulously checking posts where I've left comments--fancy that. But hey, this is getting off-topic :P
- opps12, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13it looks like Kevin rose has dugg this...so the people at digg must know this isn't working...hopefully it'll work soon
- abhiroop, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12@dweeb:
you have good reasons for not using facebook. But the biggest benefit for me is organising events and marketing them on facebook. Its a great way to have thousands of people instantly know about your events. I'm not the type to be on it all the time, but it seems a little less formal than e-mails, its like saying hi to someone you meet on the road, you don't carry on a complete conversation but you say what you want to say. - scotty588, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11I don't think my friends will like tons of notes being posted every day.
- abhiroop, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10sigh have you not learnt how digg works? if you're a popular user you'll have your story promoted (incidentally I'm being empathetic)
- porplem, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13fix it fix it fix it
- superbird, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Cool idea, wish it worked
- abhiroop, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9@atomic:
that has got to be the most ridiculous conclusion ever. Its like saying
"funny how people visit the US
but hate bush
if you visit the US you are supporting Bush".
Facebook is a generally good website, that provides a lot of useful features. Yes there are ads on the site (well if you use one of the greasemonkey scripts then there aren't any) that (so you say) are provided by microsoft. So what if we support microsoft, by looking at the ads!!! That in itself is quite ludicrous. People dislike Microsoft because of its monopolistic policies, outrageous pricing, unhelpful customer relations, etc. It doesn't mean that by using facebook, I'm contradicting myself. If we were to boycott Microsoft, can you imagine what the consequences would be? Most people who have laptops have windows because it came pre-installed, personally I've never had a problem with it, but I'd rather have OSX (however, I am not willing to pay that much for a macbook). In any case you may still dislike Microsoft because of its policies, but it doesn't mean ur contradicting urself if you use windows. - EliW, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Hey everyone. This app is working now. It was working fine before the Facebook launch ... and something during the launch process messed it up. I got with Ari from facebook today and we managed to straighten it out. If you installed it once before ... try again, or if you still have it installed click the submit button in the widget to finish the linking process! Thanks for your patience.
- appetite, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8facebook has a limit on api requests that a lot of apps are hitting. hopefully, they lift it up and everything will go more smoothly this weekend.
- smackjack, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Is it a facebook problem or a digg problem?
- t1da1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Looks like a Digg problem... I don't really care if all my friends see what an uber geek I am... It makes me feel special and all social networky
- hadimirza, on 03/26/2008, -2/+8i think it's Digg's problem. It says Digg can't connect to your facebook account. But not to worry, they will fix it soon...i hope.
@zigman
nice theme, what's it called? - Protoss, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7Because thats such a catchy website.

Nice job Eli. - phonepimpbill, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6I'm hoping it will be useful in spreading Digg to more people, so they will become better informed. More informed people makes for a better society.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+10Zune theme...

If you can't see it it's called iLike. It puts like 30 second clips of songs on your profile.......but no autoplay option at least. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9@britishgolgo13
Sadly I would too. Stupid to leave that in a screenshot posted on digg. I was just asking to be dugg down for that.
Facebook FTW though - StandardsDT, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Since this isn't working yet just go into your profile's history and copy your RSS URL and paste into the field for imported notes. Now every article you digg will or have ever dugg will show up on your facebook profile as an imported note.
- iofthestorm, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8Wow, 1.3k diggs and no working application? WTF... (lol I dugg it too though.)
- stacky, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5"Social networking is as dangerous as bittorent." Wow, that's almost as good as Ted Stevens
- bouche, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4i thought I did something wrong when I got that error. I'm glad to know I'm not retarded. Nice merge app!
- robinator08, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6@dweeb79
The largest group that facebook threatens are the people without facebook. - Jakerius, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Just as long as Facebook never goes down the route of songs on profiles. God that would be annoying.
- tetfsu, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4A couple of the other apps are having trouble too... It looks like it might be a Facebook issue and not a Digg issue. But you're right, as soon as it get's working it's going to be cool.
- bigmoneyuno, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Dugg hoping it will be fixed soon.

What is Digg?
