MySpace to Expand Into Television

.broadcastingcable.com — MySpace owner News Corp., whose Fox network uses the social networking site to stream full episodes of hit television shows, plans to launch a service allowing users to "host" streams of shows on their home pages, perhaps propelling a rapid chain of viewer endorsements.

But most wouldn't be aware that by using myspace they support a very narrow political view and as much as we may bag myspace/fox etc the effect Murdoch has had on mainstream media has had a huge impact and now sadly it's also become true on the internet..

  • spyderfreek2k, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3They already have shows on DirectTv, sponsored concerts and such, I know thats realy just advertising, parties, and concerts is how word of myspace was initially spread. I don't really care if they make it to TV, i watch very little of it anyways, its all online now, with shorter adds to boot. Plus I pay for usenet, so well, anything good is available right after or even before the show airs :)

    I just hope my TV isn't sore after being raped by advertisers, pedophiles, or viruses myspace is infamous for.
