- BoydRE, on 08/12/2008, -2/+109Google and Apple were doin' it.
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -2/+62i now realize how addicted i am to the web and how much i rely on gmail. during the hour i waited for gmail to come back i felt really lost and hollow like someone had kidnapped my baby and everyone is telling me i don't have a baby and oh wait, that's that movie with what's her name, you know the red haired actress...aw forget it.
- MalDON, on 08/12/2008, -1/+42Not something to brag about...
- taylorblue, on 08/12/2008, -2/+30I felt lost when gmail was down...I guess I am seriously addicted...but I do need it for work.. :(
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -6/+31I just checked my gmail, no issues here!

- ha3er0, on 06/16/2009, -2/+25Mine was working quite fine.
- DigSomeMore, on 08/12/2008, -0/+22Yeah, it was down for awhile, scar for cloud computing...
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+21Yeah, it's fine now, but I had problems for an hour or so earlier, around lunch time.
- ironeus, on 08/12/2008, -0/+19When at first you can't refresh, try & try again.
- kplo, on 04/01/2009, -0/+19yeah, my gmail was totally down for at least an hour or so....
- AvidPreatorian, on 08/12/2008, -0/+18yahoo? wow that brings me back
- rock774, on 08/12/2008, -0/+17It was a conspiracy !
- AmyVernon, on 08/12/2008, -2/+16That's why I have yahoo, excite, gmail, hotmail and verizon accounts. Plus my work and alumni e-mail addresses. There's a treatment for this affliction, right?
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+14Maybe both Gmail and MobileMe simultaneously developed individual awareness at the same time and combined their consciousness to be reborn in the vastness of the net.
- bobby167, on 08/12/2008, -0/+12No, maybe there's a backend deal between Apple and Google and maybe MobileMe is actually running on Google's Servers.
- CATSCEO2, on 08/12/2008, -2/+14Hotmail? Hahaha!
- wetdirtmud, on 08/12/2008, -0/+11I'm sorry to hear that.
- irfanmp, on 08/12/2008, -2/+13Yeah, mine went down too, but only for a little bit. Surprised me. I had to check my calender and make sure it wasn't April 1st.
- psychomuso, on 08/12/2008, -1/+11A problem with MobileMe? What a surprise!
- juliohm, on 08/12/2008, -1/+11giggity, giggity!
- dsendecki, on 08/12/2008, -0/+10Yes, Yahoo! works the best on 2400 baud modems.
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -1/+10Who the hell is Stephan and what the hell is a Soggy Biscuit?
- ZenFu, on 08/12/2008, -1/+9Probably something to do with the published DEFCON G-Mail hack. Odds are google were beefing up security.
I woulda said Apple found the same vulnerability in their servers and were patching it but it's more likely that MobileMe's just ***** again. After all, it's been a complete POS since it was relaunched on 3G iDay. - iptib, on 08/12/2008, -0/+8Both at the same time. Frustration nation!
- HonestAbe, on 08/12/2008, -0/+8I bet this kind of thing happens all the time at Google.
"Hey! The servers are sentient again!"
"*****! I'll unplug them right after this go-kart lap!" - BadAsh71, on 08/12/2008, -1/+9dork
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+7A 12-step program awaits...
- yojiffyskippy, on 08/12/2008, -0/+7Embarrassing.
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+7NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...can't lose my gmail...
- CarzorStelatis, on 08/12/2008, -0/+7It's probably a legal thing. Perhaps by keeping Gmail's ridiculous 'beta' tag Google avoid certain types of liability for loss of data or whatever.
- Cancerkitty, on 08/12/2008, -0/+7Huh, I completely missed it.
- BadAsh71, on 08/12/2008, -0/+7All forwarded and appropriately labeled within GMail :)
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -3/+10MobileMe mail was gone. Aside for a few hours during the switchover, this is the first time I've been affected.
- bmson, on 08/12/2008, -0/+6I heard that lycos.com was looking for email subscribers
- lesleye, on 08/12/2008, -0/+6gee amy, you must be busy!!
- Kazimieras, on 08/12/2008, -0/+6You know what would be nice... for gmail to get out of BETA. Its been long enough, and if they provide a service, they should at least have the balls to do proper releases.
- ByteGuerilla, on 08/12/2008, -0/+6Thank you, Ted, that was the joke.
- kipmartin, on 08/12/2008, -1/+6Did that yahoo account come with your Commodore 64?
- thejokell, on 08/12/2008, -1/+6"MobileMe's outage was not accompanied by any acknowledgment"
Except for the status on the MobileMe page that stated email was down. Not sure how that's not considered an acknowledgment.

- PhillyMJS, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4Samuel L. Jackson cheated Death yesterday, and that evil force had to go somewhere. Now we know where.
- atbnet, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4I guess this is why Gmail is still a beta product.
- iJessicaRabbit, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4Same here, I kept refreshing the page and even checked it in IE to make sure it wasn't a firefox error.
- damnyooneek, on 08/12/2008, -1/+5mobileme is trash. i wasted my money.
- Dukaso, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3Flight Plan
- dixhuit, on 09/03/2008, -0/+3Sure, that's good thing if you don't like free IMAP and fast load times.
- deroderugridder, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3Maybe because today is not the 11th ?
- SmellyGeekBoy, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3Why would you need to run a web server on your phone? That's just stupid.
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3I didn't even know they knew each other, let alone were that hot to trot!
