- Jeffler, on 11/15/2007, -0/+9I'm sorry, but this is the most spammy article I've read in a long time...this may get you hits but it won't get you respectable, and you'll earn less money in the long run.
- SmpleJohn, on 11/15/2007, -0/+3I believe they're marking you as spam b/c of all the adds running down the side of your page, and the one on your last paragraph that made you 25 bucks. They probably figure the only reason you posted to DIGG was to get people to come to your website so you can make a few extra bucks. And if it worked, good for you. You might not have the respect of some DIGGers, but your wallet just got thicker.
- sint4x, on 11/15/2007, -0/+3For someone who says marketing your blog is more effective than advertising, you sure do have a lot of ADS on your site.
- missingnoh4x, on 11/15/2007, -0/+3Yes, all the emails sitting in my spam folder.
- SmpleJohn, on 11/15/2007, -0/+2AMEN!
- Jeffler, on 11/15/2007, -0/+2Agreed with missingnoh4x.
And before you give me marketing instructor at school...I have a 98 in the course right now. Shh ;) - badqat, on 11/15/2007, -0/+2And really crappy ones too!
- badqat, on 11/15/2007, -0/+2If this is what passes as knowledge and what is taught in your MBA program, I suggest asking for a refund on all tuition paid.
- badqat, on 11/15/2007, -1/+2Not what I'd call groundbreaking. Just generalizations, for the most part, without much theory or practice behind it.
Your blog is really ugly, too...can't you make a graphic to fit the top portion and that includes something other than a majority of white?
And why do you believe yourself capable on instructing the rest of the world in "monetizing" their blogs when you've got a whole $100 to show for your efforts?
Buried... - adjustafresh, on 11/15/2007, -1/+2I think that the term "spam" is being used, in this case, with regard to using Digg as a self-promotion tool. I would classify just about anything written by someone calling themselves "marketingstar" as spam.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -1/+1But doesn't good marketing lead to monetary gain? Just a thought.
- missingnoh4x, on 11/15/2007, -3/+2There's a different between marketing and advertising?
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -3/+1TheFounder and Jeffler, help me to understand how this article is the definition of spam...it is what is being taught in MBA marketing. In addition, this particular formula is used to teach radio account managers how to 'market' to their clients. Help me understand folks. I surely don't want to be labeled a spammer. Besides, I thought spam was receiving unsolicited email. My blog readers don't seem to feel that I my blog posts are "...the definition of spam." Oh, by the way, let's take this a step higher. Let's create a 'point-counter-point' platform. That would be fun.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -4/+1Thanks Horace.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -5/+1Nice read, thanks!
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -6/+1Actually if you must know, my Marketing instructor at school helped me with this article. Spammy? Then maybe you have read something like this before...and did you learn anything?
What is Digg?
