- GumGuts, on 04/03/2009, -1/+24Man, it's really easy for people to make sweeping statements about situations they have no knowledge about except two paragraphs that are slightly different on some sleazy blog. We don't know ***** about Zuckerberg.
- netant, on 04/03/2009, -0/+21"If Zuckerberg is really wasting time on games like this, it means that he has completely failed as a leader. It's a humbling admission that he no longer enjoys his employees' trust and confidence."
1) One leaker does not demonstrate a CEO has lost his company's trust & confidence.
2) To the context impaired, this is a case of a person who his living getting internal memos castigating a CEO for trying to track down a "damaging" employee who leaks info.
3) Get screwed out of a couple hundred million dollars in failed deals due to a leaker, and you'd get motivated to waste your time too.
4) If you're a geek, it only takes an hour of scripting to add a module to your email program to do what's described.
5) I have no admiration of Zuckerberg, but I hate self-important, stupid bloggers as much as I hate the mainstream media. - alsouno, on 04/03/2009, -3/+22lol that must've been such a bitch to write the different versions... all that to have this story concluding that he's losing control of the company and that he should resign. fail !!!
- ph3rny, on 04/03/2009, -0/+11My mom did create a digg account: http://digg.com/users/phernysmom
- Stonekeeper, on 04/03/2009, -6/+16I hate facebook
- Nitrolinken, on 04/03/2009, -0/+10“I'm not a paranoid deranged millionaire. Goddamit, I'm a billionaire.” -- William Hughes
- TheCash, on 04/03/2009, -1/+9I'm guessing all the death threats he's gotten since he messed up Facebook has made him paranoid.
- GaltShrugged, on 04/03/2009, -0/+8To bad they don't hand out worst CEO awards... Mark Zuckerberg would win it. This would be his second year in a row. I bet he's kicking his own ass turning down Microsoft's outrageous bid on their unprofitable business that has no prospects of profit in the future.
- m3xican, on 04/03/2009, -1/+7Suckerberg
- divinediva, on 04/03/2009, -1/+7Zuckerberg is really wasting time on games.
- ahhell, on 04/03/2009, -1/+6He sounds like a world class *****.
I would hate to work for that guy. - xamox, on 04/03/2009, -1/+6Obama should fire Zuckerberg too.
- hairysandwich, on 04/03/2009, -0/+5There is a reply button just below the digg up and digg down buttons to the right of the comment. You should use that button, it is your friend.
- Archaic1, on 04/03/2009, -3/+8I am so sick of hearing this same comment tied to every single Facebook article that hits Digg.
- kanabiis, on 04/03/2009, -1/+5You would think that, but Zuckerberg's not very smart..... What do you expect from someone who stole the entire idea from the very people who hired him to program it, then couldn't even hide his tracks enough to hide from the lawsuit.
I'm pretty sure that a number of employees of Facebook are not happy that they work for a company founded on lies.... some people still have integrity - inactive, on 04/03/2009, -0/+4+1, this is what I came here to say.
Honestly, I was shocked nobody else felt this way. - bffoley, on 04/03/2009, -0/+4He won't. He's 24 (no offense to 24 year olds on here, Im not much older) and has his face on the covers of a ton of magazines and thinks he can do no wrong. Eventually the money situation will get so bad he'll be forced to sell, and the new owner will throw him out on his ass. After that, who else would hire him?
- cardyology, on 04/03/2009, -4/+7I assume you are aware that it'd be very easy for your MOM to create an account here at Digg. Does that mean you'd delete your digg account if she did?
- kanabiis, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3Yes, Karma can be a bitch, Zuckerberg founded the entire company based on betrayal.... fitting that his employees are now turning on him.
What comes around goes around..... - inactive, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3Anyone who wears flipflops and jeans...
- chemdiva, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2+1 for point #5
- Regulator980, on 04/03/2009, -6/+8Facebook's failure began when it decided to become another Myspace by offering membership to non-university students.
- gelato822, on 04/03/2009, -2/+4wow that's pretty ridiculous. why's he so obsessed with changing things - layouts, CFO's, punctuation...
get a grip man! if it ain't broke, don't fix it. - brklynmark, on 04/03/2009, -2/+4You'd think a tech bajillionare could come up with a more creative way to hide subtle differences in an email

- Mothrog, on 04/05/2009, -0/+1Speaking of tiny dick syndrome...
- ToastPop, on 04/17/2009, -0/+1Definitely. But Valleywag is like that, it's basically the internet startup version of the celebrity tabloids you see in line at the grocery store.
- kanabiis, on 04/03/2009, -0/+1@AtomicDog1471...
Have you been under a rock for the last 3 years..... google ConnectU I am sure you will find plenty of articles regarding their lawsuit against Zuckerberg - inactive, on 04/03/2009, -2/+3What, that facebook is ***** lame and is just a parasitic marketing tool for fools?
- alsouno, on 04/03/2009, -1/+2thing is, facebooks valuation isn't nearly as high as it was a couple of years ago. the social networking 'trend' will phase out into niches, and user-generated content is really just a fad. web 2.0 is dying out and semantics will eventually become the new trend, making these social networking websites like facebook and myspace look primitive. sadly, a website like facebook has done nothing to adapt to newer technologies or innovation. instead, they've continuously spent their iterations on changing the user interface, the notifications options, ad placement and anything else to make it look as sleazy and myspace-like as possible. I totally agree with GaltShrugged... dude is pretty much an idiot for turning down that bid from MS when all indications were pointing to ad-revenues dropping.
- HonoredMule, on 04/03/2009, -0/+1Humans ARE scum by nature...nevertheless, it's actually not that hard to coax a little loyalty. The trick is not to be a scumbag yourself.
- jasond22, on 04/03/2009, -0/+1For ways to get facebook to fix what they've messed-up, read the action steps in
http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=610107819 ... - Archaic1, on 04/03/2009, -1/+1Like.
- flamesrule, on 04/03/2009, -2/+2He is not Bill Gates and Facebook is not Microsoft. He needs to take a page from Google and hire a real CEO. Granted, Brin and Page were forced to by their investors but now that they have Eric Schmidt, the company has real leadership. Zuckerberg couldn't inspire real leadership because he's not a leader, he's a programmer and if he doesn't do the right thing, step aside and let someone who knows what he's doing come into Facebook, it will fail and be his fault.
- verynegative, on 04/03/2009, -1/+1*****
- inactive, on 04/03/2009, -1/+1Does it make him a billionaire if he doesn't have the cash? It's all e-money.

- StoneLox, on 04/03/2009, -0/+0you sound bitter
- noughtsInaName, on 04/03/2009, -0/+0That sounds... twisted.
- GhostFreeman, on 04/03/2009, -1/+1Call me stupid but if he had personally addressed every user with their own memo, someone would notice that in the email headers for sure.
- inactive, on 04/05/2009, -1/+0hey dick maybe I wanted more people to read my comment. Are you a Digg moderator? Or just an ***** with nothing to do ?
- giz0r, on 04/03/2009, -1/+0Wow! Nice, haven't thought of that one.
- saisumimen, on 04/03/2009, -8/+6Seriously. It was awesome at first... but the moment it was possible for my MOM to create an account there, I deleted it just like some of my other classmates did.
- DonAlfred, on 04/03/2009, -3/+0Yeah a real Harvard douche.
All the good guys comes from Stanford. - noughtsInaName, on 04/03/2009, -5/+1"It's a humbling admission that he no longer enjoys his employees' trust and confidence."
How is it his fault that humans are, by nature, betrayers? - inactive, on 04/03/2009, -6/+0@xamox
I didn't see facebook begging for billions of dollars from the government
