- AsSubtleAsABrik, on 05/04/2008, -14/+79There's nothing I enjoy more than looking in someone's profile and seeing his or her comments riddled with digg memes in an attempt to increase the size of their e-penis by +1 digg.
"i see what you did there"
"WIN?! or FAIL????"
"***** THE MPAA!"
Those are just on your first page. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and checked your comment history though, here's a nice group of 5 comments in a row: "EPIC WIN", "WIN", "2038 FTW", "OGC", "ceiling tree FTW".
You really know how to add to a conversation. - arcooke, on 05/04/2008, -8/+59I absolutely despise this new "generation" of internet users. Anyone who says anything like win, fail, epic, ftw, lawl, lulz, etc is instantly added to my own personal *****. It's annoying and immature. It's not funny, it's not creative; it's stupid. I've got a block list on Digg a mile long full of people that say this garbage.
- zlatinb, on 05/04/2008, -13/+62This is actually bigger news than it seems. A BitTorrent site is actually getting off the hook. If this sets a precedent, we're in for some very exciting time.
- inactive, on 05/04/2008, -5/+50Well Ben Stein told me that Bit Torrents caused the Holocaust so you guys are bad.
Very bad. - Vhaeos, on 05/04/2008, -6/+49Just a note.. he wasn't located in the United States of America.
- LemmingJesus, on 05/04/2008, -1/+44A precedent that other nations are not bound by laws in the United States? Very exciting indeed.
- GravitySpec, on 05/04/2008, -2/+45I guess those damn kids need to get off your lawn as well?
- mossblaser, on 05/04/2008, -0/+25If only you weren't serious...
- GravitySpec, on 05/04/2008, -1/+24MPAA != RIAA
Though they have been known to collude together in confronting piracy. The RIAA is the group that deals with music. - pigfister, on 05/04/2008, -10/+33Name and Shame them ppl, Let ppl know who these anti consumer companies are!
The BPI Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, EMI.
The RIAA Soundexchange Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, EMI.
The IFPI Are: The same anti consumer lot as listed above!
The MPAA Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, DISNEY, PARAMOUNT, FOX. - caboose1123, on 05/04/2008, -0/+22These are the worst comments I've ever seen.
- mithrasinvictus, on 05/04/2008, -0/+16This information was first sentence of the description
- burden555, on 05/04/2008, -18/+32New music is terrible anyways. They should feel the pain for making ***** music.
- LemmingJesus, on 05/04/2008, -3/+16Pure class. You have a convincing argument.
- Beamerboy, on 05/04/2008, -1/+13I should explain that there is no confirmation as to whether or not the case has been dropped. I received a letter in November 2005 stating they were filing for a summary judgement on December 15th 2005 (or around that date) and I have heard nothing since. It seems unlikely that a judgement was made or I would have received official notification from the court, which I have never received.
Whereas this is an important issue and I appreciate the support people have shown, as far as I am concerned this MPAA issue is long dead. I never think about the case and I have no intention to start thinking about it again, it is in the past and I have moved on with my life. My focus now lies in the protection of privacy and I am hoping to soon be starting my Masters in Law focusing on technology, privacy and related human rights. Most of my time at the moment it taken up by the campaign to stop Phorm deploying Deep Packet Inspection and Profiling technology throughout the UK broadband infrastructure in order to spy on everything the British public do on-line for the purpose of behavioural advertising. It is a very serious issue and has been described as illegal by leading scholars and legal experts infringing on our rights to privacy. I would much rather people were supporting that fight than supporting stuff I did 2.5 years ago, although as I said, that support is appreciated.
Alexander Hanff - Lone1, on 05/04/2008, -5/+17I cans be on ur ***** too plzthx
- nicktheawesome, on 05/04/2008, -0/+11Not only did he copy and paste, he copied and pasted his OWN post.
- aladrin, on 05/04/2008, -1/+12Where have I heard that before... Oh yeah, EVERY SINGLE GENERATION.
- dsmx, on 05/04/2008, -0/+10It can't set a precedent the case didn't go to court and even if it did it would only be in the country the court case was heard in.
- pigfister, on 05/04/2008, -3/+13The BPI Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, EMI.
The RIAA Soundexchange Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, EMI.
The IFPI Are: The same anti consumer lot as listed above!
The MPAA Are: SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, DISNEY, PARAMOUNT, FOX. - doctorfungi, on 05/04/2008, -0/+9Holy... *****... *****.
- WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -0/+9Slick, people like you always remind me of the old quote: "Life is a tragedy to those who feel, but a comedy to those who think." Right now, I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
- Ganja420, on 05/04/2008, -0/+9Alot of crap came out of the 60s and 70s too...
fyi MTV doesn't actually play music... they stopped doing that in 1998 - carpespasm, on 05/04/2008, -0/+9Man slickstar, if that was a trolled response my hat goes off to you. Just ignorant sounding enough for people to take it as sincere without going overboard.
- Namtaru, on 05/04/2008, -4/+12You forgot the part about how it's incredibly convenient and still full of paid advertisement anyway. Oh and I would rather spend my money on gas and food. I will proudly break the law to spread information, even if its just for entertainment purposes.
- Infidelcastr0, on 05/04/2008, -1/+9Dugg for Picard.
- BurningSky, on 05/04/2008, -2/+9Dugg because I'm using UTorrent as I type this...
- Netrilix, on 05/04/2008, -3/+10"We won't bend you over in court if you agree to give us lists of IPs".
"Ok!" - Phyltre, on 05/04/2008, -4/+11You really think they're a "new" generation? These memes and types of communication have been around for years in concept, seven years minimum, which is about as long as most people have been actively on the internet. And in fact, you find some of the same style gags and humor in early copies of Mad Magazine from decades ago.
It's just comedy, man, but great way to blow it out of proportion and make it your personal vendetta, as though that's going to change anything. - tucsonwc, on 05/04/2008, -7/+14***** the MPAA!
***** Region encoded DVDs.
Oh and while I'm at it, ***** the RIAA! - iticu, on 05/04/2008, -6/+13What the hell are you talking about?
This isn't 300 and you're not a lawyer. - inactive, on 05/04/2008, -2/+8Oh ***** off - there are loads of really great new bands - put some effort in to find them
- lava, on 05/04/2008, -3/+9arcooke ftw
- doctorfungi, on 05/04/2008, -0/+5I love it how you call Bush retarded... yet can't use punctuation or grammar yourself.
- Dustmuffins, on 05/04/2008, -0/+5Know who you *****!
***** THE MPAA! - knight666, on 05/04/2008, -0/+5Slickstar's record of highest diggs is: +4.
The first page of his comments are nothing but negatives. - inactive, on 05/04/2008, -0/+5do you ever post anything else ever?
http://digg.com/users/pigfister/history/comments - nicktheawesome, on 05/04/2008, -2/+6Do you want to cry?
- jbnumba1, on 05/04/2008, -0/+4Ohh, but we should be messing with people? Just not so much? K, gotcha.
- cliffski, on 05/04/2008, -0/+4wow, you are such a ***** rebel.
- KlogereEndGrim, on 05/04/2008, -0/+4lulz
- Beamerboy, on 05/04/2008, -1/+5I beg to differ, the lawsuit is in the US I am in the UK and am a UK citizen. Why would I pay any attention to a lawsuit in a court with no jurisdiction over me. I gave them all the attention their suit merits, which is none.
Alexander Hanff - mcrules, on 05/04/2008, -1/+5That is from Star Trek First Contact
- DangerMouse9, on 05/04/2008, -2/+6It fails to be funny when it's done every other comment.
- futureisours, on 05/04/2008, -0/+4Never count on the MPAA to forget anything. If this guy knows what he's doing, he really needs to follow the court's procedures to get the case dismissed whether it's just filing paperwork or a hearing. I think in many places, he can have it automatically dismissed with a year of inactivity. Otherwise, they can proceed at any time.
- LemmingJesus, on 05/04/2008, -4/+8Third time is not a charm in this case.
- doctorfungi, on 05/04/2008, -2/+6I LIKE DOING THE SAME THING THAT ALL THE OTHER KIDS ARE DOING BECAUSE IT MAKES ME COOL!
- KlogereEndGrim, on 05/04/2008, -0/+4Great trolling, you win a new bridge!
- pigfister, on 05/04/2008, -1/+4i do but ppl need to know who the mpaa/riaa actually are because they try to hide their anti consumer behavior behind the trade group name(s) so ppl can boycott all their products.
- doctorfungi, on 05/04/2008, -4/+7I'd been using the word "epic" for years before it became popular on the internet. It's an epic word.
