My only problem was that the Alexis Park was way to small(They've since moved to the Riviera so that should be a non issue). And it seemed that there were way to many "scene-whores", which are easily spotted as the fifteen year old kids with their parents laptop and a linux live cd, but they only stay in the large CTF area and cluster in groups, which meant I did not have to encounter many because I was there for the speeches.
(The above statement was not a bash against kids attending defcon, I myself am only 17 and know of many other younger people who go to DefCon to learn, and not just pretend to be hackers.)
Please attend the speeches, I know it's easy to get caught up in the socializing and the drinking, moreso the drinking, but the presentations are fantastic. - n2d2, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7Why can't all the hackers join together and keep the terrorists off the internet?

- prence, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I went a few years ago and it was the exact opposite of fun. Defcon was full of a bunch of Kevin Mitnick fanbois and complete morons. We scrapped going to the rest of the conference and just partied around Vegas instead; ended up being the most fun I'd ever had.
