- OSXpert, on 03/13/2009, -8/+165Last time I checked I was Colbert's bitch, not Jimmy Fallon's.
- P1um, on 03/13/2009, -13/+85This is stupid.
- AxmxZ, on 03/13/2009, -6/+67...Why?
- fatfonzie, on 03/13/2009, -9/+53He's probably a cool guy, but I don't want to participate.
- str3ama, on 03/13/2009, -7/+35he managed to get 10k because jimmy falon posted a link to him and jimmy falon already had the followers, plus he gets a boost from twitter which promotes his twitter account to all new accounts via their follower recommender - so if you sign up for twitter and rush through the process you end up following Jimmy Falon or a few other twittering celebrities like Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore.. etc.
I don't quite get what the experiment is - how many followers you can get by getting celebrities to endorse you and having your twitter account blasted on popular social sites.
Is this really an experiment, looks more like an attempt to just get a whole bunch of followers quickly and then later on spam them with your random meanderings and promotional links.. - Shadoblak, on 03/13/2009, -1/+25Boooo I also hate Twitter! Lemme update my Facebook status about it!
- Inflammo, on 03/11/2009, -14/+38Done
For the wondering, this comes from: http://twitter.com/jimmyfallon/status/1313045830 - punkbl182, on 03/13/2009, -1/+22No, it really wasn't.
- toxicityj, on 03/13/2009, -7/+25you will be the bitch of whoever Kevin Rose tells you to be!
- The2ndAct, on 03/13/2009, -0/+14not going WELL =)
- OneManArmy, on 03/13/2009, -2/+16FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
- 2of8, on 03/13/2009, -4/+18Ok, so,
1) Who is this guy and why do people care about what he writes on Twitter?
2) Where is the backstory?
3) From the comments: Jimmy Fallon, who, why should I care? - cbeach, on 03/13/2009, -0/+13When someone uses digg.com to promote their Twitter account, let's collectively "block" them on twitter.com. This will flag up their account to the Twitter admins and hopefully get them sanctioned.
- justkikuchi, on 03/13/2009, -3/+15yes. thats the experiment
- DarkoKun, on 03/13/2009, -8/+20Why does it even bother you? All you have to do is avoid twitter.com. It seems like you're pissing yourself off for no reason.
- JDoorjam, on 03/13/2009, -2/+13That explains nothing.
- iamjoker, on 03/13/2009, -5/+16BURIED AS SPAM!
- cbeach, on 03/13/2009, -1/+11WTF? Twitter "follow-me" spam on digg.com?
I was sticking up for Twitter on digg yesterday, but I'm sick of the attention-seeking wasters that infest it. People using social tools just to exert their "popularity" are pathetic. Get a hobby! - evergrim, on 03/13/2009, -2/+11***** that *****.
- HigherLogic, on 03/13/2009, -8/+17When can I block articles for my account based on keyword? I swear to god I see ***** 10 twitter-related articles on Digg every day.
- flyingcatcircus, on 03/13/2009, -1/+9Fallon seems like a nice fellow. I just do not think he's funny. Not even a little bit.
Give Norm MacDonald a show! Um, again! - wakeupsticky, on 03/13/2009, -14/+22I hate Jimmy Fallon.
- augustojr, on 03/12/2009, -0/+8Jimmy, Kevin, Alex and Questlove all tweeted about him this afternoon.
- inactive, on 03/13/2009, -0/+6I also hate Jimmy Fallon.
- inactive, on 03/13/2009, -1/+7don't you mean this?
http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/blogs/2009 ... - ryanhayn, on 03/13/2009, -1/+7ummm...how about no?
- ryanonfire, on 03/13/2009, -13/+19Now you can follow him in real life: Email: bryan@uberstreetstudios.com Phone: 215.880.6005
Web: www.brinkanimation.com Mailing Address: 138 Booraem Ave Jersey City, NJ 07307 - inactive, on 03/13/2009, -11/+17Pssst, froissart, this isn't the Twitter forums.
- safesolvent, on 03/13/2009, -0/+6i think THAT WAS the experiment. from zero to hero.
- ildire, on 03/13/2009, -2/+7this is not 4chan
- finklehorn, on 03/13/2009, -0/+5i also hate Jimmy Fallon.
- brinkanimation, on 03/13/2009, -2/+7that ain't cool, but it comes with the territory i guess. thank god that's my old address, glad i haven't updated my resume yet. phew
- mraymond80, on 03/13/2009, -59/+63Really. No one cares if you just took a ***** or ate a cookie. Find something real to do rather than broadcasting the mundane moments of your daily life to a world that doesn't really care.
***** Twitter - aletoledo, on 03/13/2009, -0/+4I think he put himself out there. If you play with the whirlwind, you're going to get burned.
- inactive, on 03/13/2009, -1/+5I feel the same way... don't really feel up to participating in social experiments.
- AManWithNoName, on 03/13/2009, -6/+10He's also on digg, his account is
http://www.digg.com/users/brinkanimation - eatinshramps, on 03/13/2009, -1/+5...***** you
- guywhocodes, on 03/13/2009, -0/+4Man I fell for it!!
- inactive, on 03/13/2009, -2/+6And this is for laughing during every comedy sketch you've ever been in! Who do you think you are, Carol Burnett? You think she did it so it's all right for you? You haven't earned what she's earned!
- darlingt, on 03/13/2009, -1/+5No, it's 4chan Lite!
- mochaman, on 03/13/2009, -0/+3You nailed it brother.
Who cares! - GFX1003, on 03/13/2009, -0/+3Its public information... he has it on his site, so I see no harm in it.
- miggie, on 03/13/2009, -0/+3His website is http://www.brinkanimation.com/ the same as his digg account.
- aletoledo, on 03/13/2009, -0/+3My question as well. The whole thing appears to be a way to force popularity of twitter. I doubt anyone ever seriously uses twitter (you have to be a blonde to be so vacuous) and they're trying to drive their statistics with these gimmicks.
- Billistic, on 03/13/2009, -0/+3Taxi.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxi_(2004_movie) - MrViklund, on 03/13/2009, -0/+3I don't care who's experiment it is. It's lame so DON'T FOLLOW THAT GUY.
Yea, I'm on the Internets. It's not like I don't noticed that. It's not easy to surf on Digg if you are not on the Internets. I don't take it personally. Why would I, how could I? I still think it's lame. People should not follow this guy! - brinkanimation, on 03/13/2009, -1/+4i ran home and turned off email notifications immediately
- gsxrmike04, on 03/13/2009, -6/+9who the hell is this guy?
- WYendrys, on 03/13/2009, -0/+3and Russell Brand.
- brinkanimation, on 03/13/2009, -2/+4thanks everybody for the support. this has been a surreal experience, seeing an article about me on the front of digg is my nerdy dream come true. hopefully some of you on the fritz choose to follow me not because you were told to, but because you enjoy my work and recommendations. its a shock for me to adjust from nobody caring what I have to say to 29,000 people. i couldn't have done it without the digg and diggnation communities help.
