isohunt.com — Lawyers from our primary ISP decided to pull our plug without any advance notice, as of 14:45 PST. No doubt about our lawsuit brought by the MPAA. We will be back in operation once we sort out this mess with our ISP, or we get new hardware ready from another ISP (already working on that).

Isohunt was/is a pillar Internet collaboration and has added more value to society than anything the MPAA is responsible for. Stuff like this does nothing to further their frivolous cause and should encourage us to avoid lining their pockets at every opportunity. They'll find out soon enough when their valuable "intellectual property" is supplanted by homegrown video.

    however in this case torrent is not a common word and therefore does not really need the +.

    EDIT: it's one of two extremes, often it's a witty comment that gets dugg up to like 200 diggs.

    You can't stop these Torrent trackers, but here's what you can do:

    Make a a better alternative with a reasonable pricing system. That means NO DRM, movies that cost less than DVDs, HD content, and downloads available soon after theatrical releases.

    That's it, I'm giving you guys gold here. Take my advice and do the right thing.
