- kevinrose, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9No glitch - If the users use the "report" feature, the story is pulled from digg. That's how digg is moderated, by the people using the report feature.
I pulled up your profile and have noticed several reported articles:
http://digg.com/links/l337_Google? (older news)
http://digg.com/links/Happy_Hollidays_to_Kevin_Rose (thank you, but was reported due to people not knowing who I am)
http://digg.com/technology/Great_New_Page_for_Tech_News (read the comments)
We don't moderate anything unless it's P0rn, illegal, or something is wrong (bad link etc.)
Hope this helps,
--Kevin - G-RaZoR, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3It's a glitch within digg. Every article does it. Normally it comes back within a few minutes. I hope quickness fixes it!
- G-RaZoR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This isnt about the report factor. Articles mysteriously dissappear, and then reappear. For instance I posted an article about scope tech a week or so ago. It was off the entire site (main page, my profile, search) and then came back a few minutes later.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks for the info, but I thought when things were reported, they were totally removed. Anyway, it's always nice to get a comment from +krose.
- gothicgeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0At least with the one example, it may have been removed because it looks like you are trying to use digg as promotional too for your personal blog. I'm not trying to start a flame war, just my opinion.
- Lyphen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well, now that this is settle, I'll just click the old report.... ;)
- rebrad, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Unless it's about the Hilton phone hack.
- rebrad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Actually, I think it has to do with the most atrocious beast to walk the earth. The insidious lawyer and their relentless pursuit of a legal suit.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0One thing I noticed about digg is that some articles even disappear from the archive and can't even be found in a search. Like that Superfriends/Office Space movie or that India Techsupport flash movie? Can anyone post the URLs for those again?
What is Digg?
