@ BPI, RIAA, IFPI, MPAA - EarlOfLade, on 08/15/2008, -4/+75Isn't that a crime? To redirect a domain name you don't own to one of your own servers?
- ExRe, on 08/15/2008, -4/+60Lawsuit time
I hope this makes some big $ for TPB. - Celeborn27, on 08/15/2008, -5/+46Berlusconi = Mussolini II
- psevium, on 08/15/2008, -2/+39"This decision sends out a clear message that The Pirate Bay’s activities are illegal under Italian law."
Because you managed to convince the ***** police that it was. Sends out a clearer message that the IFPI doesn't give a ***** about what it has to do, it'll do it if it means attacking the pirate bay. - scaaven2, on 08/15/2008, -20/+55....................../´¯/)

- banmaster, on 08/15/2008, -2/+29Or just change your DNS stuff to the OpenDNS one instead of what your fascist controlled ISP provides to you.
https://www.opendns.com/start - T440, on 08/15/2008, -0/+24Plus it's a place where we can steal *****..
- shirosamurai, on 08/15/2008, -5/+28Hear hear!
The entertainment industry has had so many opportunities to adapt to new media and new methods of distribution, but instead they strangle their consumers with things like DRM and rootkits. The Pirate Bay is not just a place to "steal *****", it's our representative in the fight against backwards business trends and old media - it's our way of showing that the consumer won't put up with the *****! The RIAA and MPAA (et. al) could have capitalized on digital distribution in a fair and profitable way, but they've chosen their own path - and so have we. - dexaroni, on 08/15/2008, -1/+23Whos the pirate now?
- puppyfox, on 08/15/2008, -0/+21As an Italian (living abroad) I am ashamed of this crap. I would encourage people to use OpenDNS to get around any lousy DNS filtering.
- Jedakiah, on 08/15/2008, -0/+20In the United States it is, but United States law != international law.
- inactive, on 08/15/2008, -3/+22IFPI are nothing more than thugs.
- adikt, on 08/15/2008, -0/+17Who do you think owns mainstream media, mate? SONY, UNIVERSAL, WARNER GROUP, DISNEY, PARAMOUNT, FOX.
- burden555, on 08/15/2008, -0/+16Mainstream needs more coverage of things like this
- earthforce1, on 08/15/2008, -0/+14So what if all Italians started a DOS attack on the "redirected" pirate bay? You can always say you were just trying to help out the government!
- thealsir, on 08/15/2008, -14/+27So, I'm dugg down for suggesting that huge "***** the ..." posts don't do anything but make digg look cheaper. Wow, I guess that says something about the posters here...

***** DRM - banmaster, on 08/15/2008, -0/+10Yes, but this seems to have been done by Court Order thus probably sidestepping the 'regular' law stuff.
- mrsteveman1, on 08/16/2008, -0/+10Yes mr leper, you apparently didn't get the point of what he said. TPB and such are in fact a market force. They represent an alternative for people who refuse to play ***** games with irrational and irresponsible businesses.
DRM and rootkits are examples. Rootkits that interfere with a users machine are illegal. If i or anyone else did what SBMG did with those CDs we would be in jail right now so don't even start bitching about how its wrong to steal from them, don't ***** care at this point.
The funny thing is, pirated stuff tends to be more usable, less annoying to the user and usually free of malicious code. I've had to crack my games a number of times because I'm not going to play musical chairs with my game CDs, nor do i carry them around with me everywhere i go just so i can play a game i PAID FOR on my laptop.
Similarly, last time I rented a movie on iTunes i ended up downloading it from a torrent site anyway, because the ***** thing DELETED the movie before i was done watching it.
I can find other examples if you want. Lock down TPB and the others and the media organizations will be free to do whatever they want, and they have shown they aren't competent or trustworthy in any way at this point. - whatthehell9, on 08/15/2008, -2/+11just went and bought a tpb t-shirt...

- tavisjohn, on 08/16/2008, -1/+8It protects you from DNS redirects from your ISP. If you use your ISP's DNS server you get redirected. If you use OpenDNS you get to the site you wanted to go to in the first place.
- javaroast, on 08/16/2008, -0/+7Exter thank you for listing the real criminals behind the puppet organizations. Sony, Warner, EMI, Disney, Fox, Paramount and Universal are the ones who deserve the fallout and their names should be mentioned in every ***** the ... post.

- highlymodified, on 08/16/2008, -0/+4Did you just compare deregulation of digital media information to rape/armed-robbery?
While they're both crimes under US law, I think you can tell that there's a difference between the 2. - strangewill, on 08/16/2008, -0/+4OH ***** IT'S A BOMB!

- artfiend77, on 08/16/2008, -2/+5I can understand the people who are against file sharing, and although I don't agree with a lot the points they make, I respect them for having their opinions. But ***** pussy hypocrites like you who " use the site cause *****'s free but oh dear! It's wrong!" can eat a fat ***** dick.
P.S. I didn't dig you down cause you spoke against the majority, I dugg you down cause I wish I coudl kick your greasy haired ass, bitch. - strangewill, on 08/16/2008, -0/+3Funny being as you'd figure anyone that can bittorrent can just use one of the bajillion proxies that are open.
