- michaeldupuis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Some good tips on a turn around. The real problem, though, is that MSFT is kind of collapsing under its own weight. Too many people there, at least from my outsider's view, are fat and lazy and content, and not really interested in changing the world. It's hard to make a real turn around when that is the case. Look they've tried to bring people in to add some spark, and they all seem to wind up throwing up their hands in frustration at the size of the problem and leaving. Not a good sign.
- bofhcabbit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1It's completely an uphill battle for Microsoft, but I do agree with the ideas. If they start owning innovative and reliable properties that Don't Suck, the public perception of Microsoft will eventually turn around.
- Pentath, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I think some good points are brought up. But of course it's going to be an uphill battle for Microsoft in the public opinion area.
If MS does what's suggested and begins to buy cool, I think the public perception in the begining will be negative towards them for just buying up companies that are percieved as cool. Even though Google, Yahoo and IAC do it as well, MS is still seen as the big evil.
It's an interesting idea, I wonder if Microsoft will listen to it.
